I just hope we get an option to say "Spectre business, it's classified" as a defense.

I don't think "I'm a Spectre" is going to work against blowing up a relay, destroying an entire star system, and wiping out three hundred thousand people.

I mean honestly, they yoinked Saren's title for destroying one colonial settlement.  Small cookies compared to the Alpha Relay incident.

Anything else? I just hope we get an option to say "Spectre business, it's classified" as a defense.

Here is a more general list.

Oh no they did give me what I wanted . They basically made it very easy to be a full renegade in 2 . Since its going to be in the trail anyway might as well not hide what one is any longer.

I am actually down with this.  Thinking about it from a role play perspective.  No matter what I did, my Shepard thought it was the right idea at the time. And now some idiots want to put me on trial because I saved their butts from total destruction in a way that didn't make them happy.  I got lemons and made an awesome rum beverage don't **** to me that you wanted lemonade.  Go full renegade in the trial sounds like awesome fun to me.  I only don't like going renegade in personal conversations with friends and team mates otherwise it is full of win.

How about letting them know that you did it because you are just that Bad Ass.  "They said destroying a relay couldn't be done, what can I say I'm just that bad ass. "

I think at that point the judge (or whatever) would get up and punch you in the face.

Oh dear, I hope Tali hasn't made any recordings of me admitting what I did to Admiral Hackett.

Shepard:  Arahot was a major victory, object Rho has brought us one step closer to stopping Harbinger.
Hackett: And one step closer to the defeat of the Reapers.

"Tax Evasion" - this is going to be the charge that puts Shepard down, that's how they got Capone.

Anyone who's played through ME1 and 2 knows Shepard has done many dirty and questionable things. I honestly don't think what happened in Arrival was necessary to justify a trial. It would have been natural enough regardless.

Winning.

I actually hope that they pull a role-reversal from ME1.

Seems to me a very human thing that if they want to put you on trial, they'll put you on trial. And make a show of it. Obviously, Shepard hadn't done anything that made them want to put him on trial until now.

For the Alliance, that's true; for the Council, they could have put her on trial as early as after the Battle of the Citadel, since the Council wasn't exactly happy with some of the things Shepard did in ME1, including the whole rachni queen thing and the hijacking of the Normandy.

Obviously, they decided Shepard saving their lives was worth a head start. Then Shepard died.

Maybe they haven't wanted to put him on trial before, but that doesn't mean they approve of everything he did.  According to the dossiers in LotSB Shepard probably would have been brought in for working with cerberus is Hackett hadn't been protecting him.

Sounds like the trial is going to cover more than just the events of Arrival! :wizard:

That's whai I got out of it, and it explains a lot. That's a whole lot better way to bring new players up to date than a comic book — but could be one loooooong cutscene with a few dialouge interruptions.

Hmm, interesting... I was expecting his usual silky smooth eloquence in keeping hard facts hidden, but there were a few nice bits of information in there!

Very good series of interviews. Mass Effect 3 sure sounds to be shaping up to be the single greatest game ever.
Happy to hear about Liara. Can never hear too much about Liara. Right?
