Tell us about your Hawke, how they interacted with the overall story, how they dealt with certain themes and characters. what was your Hawkes view on kirkwall, the mage problem, did they side with t\\emplars or mages and what for, did they agree with the Arishok.

My hawke could have solved the mage problem if they let me. Meredith and Orsino where two extremes, easily replaced if Allister had the balls to make me vicount. But towards the end I felt like the game was forcing me to choose (while doubiously giving me the option not to pick sides)... and then Anders walks in and it's like CHOOSE NOW.

I sided with the Templars because of what Anders did (I mean how can you side with the mages after that), and Averline and Fenris saying it needed a response. To me the best part of the game was kicking the Aristoks ass in a duel.. arrogant ******.

My Hawke was a rogue with a laid-back live and let live attitude. She was sympathetic towards mages in the beginning because she felt everybody deserved freedom. She always tried to make decisions she felt was right and was charitable and kind. Of all the companions, she liked Fenris, Varric, and Isabella the best. I imagine she spent a lot of time in The Hanged Man.

Unfortunately, she hadn't taken Isabella along for many quests and so Isabella ran off with the artifact. She had respect for the Arishok (mostly because the Arishok had respect for her) but overall did not agree with him. She felt the people of Kirkwall deserved the freedom to make their own choices even if they were bad choices.

After her mother died she was depressed and more cynical then before.

Towards the end of the story, she started agreeing with Fenris more and more (he was also her love interest). She liked certain things about both Orsino and Meredith and held out hope they could resolve the conflict peacefully. When it became clear this wasn't the case, she sided with the Templars and killed Anders. She spared the group of mages and Bethany, though.

My Hawke decapitated Isabella took the tome of Koslun from her dead hands and left with orny ary for some sun and strict ideological reeducation in Par Vollen. Thankfully one of the first things he was given under the Qun was a new name.

wow a nice/ productive thread-start ;)

let see:
Nira Hawke, mage
-learnt all the mage-skills/close/staff combat from her father together with Bethany.

-heartbroken about bethanys death, later mothers death. feels having completely failed protecting her family (which was the major arc above all other goals). feels guilty for bethanys and mothers death. (has the impression to not have taken the murders serious enough. in the first act, going after ninettes remains in the foundry she could even glimpse the killer for a moment before he runs off. would she have been quicker she could have avoided mothers death.)

-feeling from start on responsible to get all family through while behind all sarcasm, wit and force she is deeply concerned about her place in the society as well.

-the "dependency feeling" on the receiving end of family care didnt completely worn off. Before she learnt to master her mage talents and hide them, she had to be hidden away from templars. sometimes for weeks. her mother and brother brought her food and clothes.

-this feeling of constant danger and being dependant of mother and carver remains. as she became the stronger character the ambivalence of her power to her fragility in a hostile world was one of the rivalry drivers with carver.

-in awe for flemeth would have liked to learn more (strong apostate which fears apparently nothing)

- kirkwall; understood quickly that it would be either move, act and lead or die. With skill, strenth and charming leadership she quickly got new friends and companions

- stlil in constant fear of being detected by templars but after all the family was through (and as leandra wishes to take back her title/estate) she suppresses the permanent wish to leave kirkwall for a saner and smaller town or outskirts.

- caught up in all events. totally sympathizes with mage ideals and strive for freedom, but would like to not actively step in as there is nothing she is more cconcerned of as being made tranquil or being placed in the circle (she is a total free bird). She can see what happens to mages in the circle or to tranquils (just listen to some of the conversations at the gallows, or some of the misued powerplay some Templars perform). Either way, its apostate and freedom or death for her. Circle at the hands of the templars, insane rules and oppression and in permanent potential fear of tranquility would be no option.
After the poison quest for isabela she keeps a capsule with black hand poison in case she gets caught.

- while inidrectly helping mages where she can, she also has no moral barrier to turn them in if her own discovery is at stake. she is not actively striving to take any role in the rebellion. while she needs to make up for a living as mercenary she keeps her magic talents and sympathy for mages as hidden as possible throughout the first acts.

- fenris is a lose cannon in her eyes. she decides to ditch him asap, as its too risky to tag with him along. (either he would at some point decide to kill her, or turn them in, as many of her actions are pro mages, and tolerates strong blood mages, like merril). She tries the diplomatic way with him uses all her charm, just to find out that he doesnt really want to evolve his pre-set opinions. He is constantly harassing her and other mages like Merril. Depending on the playthrough (i actually concentrated to evolve one personality first in 4 playthroughts (had 16 playthroughts wiht DAO concentrating on 4 personalities so im in no hurry) she either ditches him immediately or expects and gets the final confrontation wiht him at the end. she would never turn him in to his former master, as in their own way both strive for freedom and away from oppression which Hawke recognizes. (with exception of his active quests he is never part of her party)

- isablea: quickly fells to her call, and isabella is the first to show her more than just fighting skills

- merril: first concerned about her blood magic usage, she notices and feels that merril is indeed capable and strong, mastering the potential daemon threat.
with time passing, merril would indulge her with active and careful blood magic usage. both keep it as secret as possible (also to the team) as although the team somehow tolerates apostates, everyone is strong biased against blood magic.
after years the friendship becomes love and they perform a blood bound ritual.
She keeps her hand in a special gauntlet which features a sharp dorn,  which she can use to inflict wounds drawing blood power without attracting active attention to the blood magic usage itself.

- Anders: he is an abomination in her eyes as even apparently benevolent spirits are spirits just representing different virtues. the means they possess or perform are the same as those of the daemonic spirits. He is a potential lose cannon and threat to her family (potentially rising attention on Hawke, see Templar threat) and group.
While she generally understands his struggle for the mage cause, she is concerned about him being a zealot and potentially drawing attention upon her. she plans to ditch him asap.(with exception of his active quests he is never part of her party)
at the end he dies by her hand, as he betrayed her friendship and brought havoc upon countless families. (she empathizes with them)

- Varric: one of the few ppl she really trusts outside her own family. He quickly proves to be a real friend and trustworthy in all matters. He is instrumental giving the Hawkes a chance in krikwall and getting the family out of the slums which Hawke would never forget.
Additionally they are very compatible character wise. Witty whenever suitable, but able to get serious if the situation requires it with a great emotional intelligence for other people and characters. They do share a unique humor together. (Featured perfectly in the Chantry while Hawke is addressing Sebastian during act2: "..said hawke sarcastically" .. "Varric replied"..."Varric, stop that!"  He is also very relaxed about traditions and herittage which she loves to see.

- Qun/Arishok: respected them for their integrity first but started to feel a strong hate for a group for the first time ever seeing how they treat their mages. She didnt hated darwspakwn because these do not actively select their fate. Qunari do. She can see how indoctrinated even their mages are by the Sarabas stating to her "Your role would change little in the Qun" and "i chose to live by the Qun" (even if this means dying). She is deeply sorry for this mage, which really thinks her role would change little if she would be oppressed, bound and used as toy. Apparently as he never had the chance to see anything different, he does not have the mental flexibility to spread his wings when he gets the chance.
She happyly and suicidally disclosed to the qun hunting down the Sarabas that she and merril were mages too and unleashes a magic storm on their soldiers disregarding all previous fears of being detected by someone. Hate can be such driver. For the first time ever she strikes witht hate hard and unforgiving. (The battle lasts 3 seconds)
She strives to the final confrontation with the Arishok. In some way she feels like being instrumental defending independency, free thought and freedom against the Qun. At the end the Arishok was defeated by a female mage, which to my knowledge should have been the biggest insult ever occured to a Qunari leader.
They seem to have respected her strength above all these prejudices though as they remain calm and even ask for the swords after the main delegation left the city.

- dalish: notices that these guys are lost. she is very sympathetic towards them but hopeless. although they barely survive they still care to save all other races (keeper remains in the area to secure daemon and prevent mirror to be finalized. cares about sleeper etc. if she wouldnt care and just bring her clan in safety in the long run it may have been more beneficial for the elves.

- meredith: after she becomes champion and "everyone" but especially the knight commander meredith and cullen know that she is an aposthate, she feels extremly exposed. She tries to turn down meredith requests, but knows that she is in her hand now. The danger shifted. Its no longer an option that she would be brought to the circle or made tranquil (afterall she is a hero anc hampion) but that she will officially die as hero in a battle. /iE being killed by templars if she does not comply while officially stating she was killed by bloodmages or whatever, thus even her death would be helpful for the Templars cause. She can see the sword over her head in act3, and by all her power she feels less in charge and powerful than ever before.
In fact this is the moment where she feels very helpless. Its hard to run away now being widely known, thus she is forced to step in actively in the conflict, and attack in order to survive.

- she tries to find a neutral solution wiht the grand cleric as potential ally, but she is being turned down, as the grand cleric doesnt actively steps in.

- at the end she even elaborates supporting the templars for her own sake, but quickly understands that meredith would backstab her in any case afterwards.

at the end she was involved in everything, but basically only while struggeling to survive and protecting the family. she drives most courage when being cornered and is ready to take action in her own hands (at the end of da2) instead being pushed remembering flemeth words to leap when the time comes.. / looking forward continuing in da3 ..

sorry for the poor formatting, waiting on my plane at airport, and on an tablet with external mini keyboard.

I've played more than a few times, but the basic idea that has carried through most playthroughs is that Hawke was greedy, cold-hearted, and pragmatic. He held no sympathy for mages and never got along with people like Anders and Merrill, who were constantly trying to draw his focus away from coin and into business that did not concern him (mage rights and elven history). The only companions he even liked were Aveline, Fenris, and Varric, mostly due to their skill and world views... almost never recruited Isabela, and if he did, he always gave her to the Arishok, who he respected (sometimes... some runs I just wanted him to die).

Like I said, I played this game a lot... had some fun playing as a more monstrous Hawke who brutally killed the Qunari delegates in front of Sebastian and Aveline to see them squirm. The only time Hawke didn't completely annul the Circle was on my first run, when I played as a mage. Again, it was a self-serving decision, since he thought he might be in danger from the Templars (though, by the end of the game, Hawke didn't trust any mages except himself).

All that said... I'd have a hard time deciding on a canon run, if that ever even matters. The only thing that remains constant is that Warrior Hawke likes to oppress mages and may or may not follow the Qun... Given the opportunity, I'd have him join and serve as an Arvaarad, but if that's never an option, it's back to greed as a basic motivator.

Which Hawke?, I do have multipule personalities and have experienced many runs through Kirkwall.
I know it's odd to do so these days, but I feel if you don't try every single path in various ways with multipule opinions being formed you don't actually get to see what's going on and are not roleplaying.

Last Hawkes overall view, really needed less people screaming for help or mercy.
Kirkwall was a good place to get ahead, but needed to much effort to stay that way.
The Arishok was quite frankly mad, even any other Qunari could tell he had sliped off the dock and drowned in his own impotence.

<opted to delete the "fan-fiction" and go with a description>

My Hawke is a good hearted jokester that doesn't try to take much seriously. The one thing that the Blight taught him though is that NOBODY messes with his family and lives to tell the tale.

heres how I see my Hawke

Personality: Many nobles, politicians, and other people of importance often describe Hawke as disturbingly childlike and oblivious to the seriousness of situations, Though those who know him personally know that the true reason behind his behavior around them stems from a deep contempt for nobles, politicians, and Chantry officials. When with friends Hawke has shown to be deeply cynical and sarchastic, but also kind hearted and fiercely protective of his friends and family. Hawkes arrival in Hightown caused many  rumors to spread along the neighborhood, ranging from whether or not Hawke earned his money legitamately, to claims that he was a spy sent from fereldan, to whispers of him having elven lovers. The rumors were only intensified when he began a relationship with Merrill and had her move in.

Mages: As the son and brother of Apostates, Hawke never saw them as dangerouse, but also knew that fighting the templars would only put his family in danger. as a result Hawke would never go too far out of his way to help the mages, but whenever the issue pressed itself he would side with the mages. After the deep roads, when the Templars took bethany Hawke suddenly became higly active in the mage resistance as he was determined to free his sister from the circle. despite his cautious attitude towards blood magic, Hawke believes that it is only truely dangerous when used to make a deal with demons.

Qunari: Hawke has often regarded personal freedoms as increadibly valuable, which for obvious reasons means Hawke dislikes the philosophy of the Qun. despite his clear disapproval of the qun, Hawk also finds that it is only slightly more distasteful to him than the Chant and since the qunari make no aggressive movements, Hawke decided that there was no need to fight them. Hawkes participation in the qunari affair was quite reluctant and as the Chantry zelots refused to back down Hawke found himself supporting the Qun... until the Arishok began an attack on Kirkwall. Angered by the Arishok's refusal for diplomacy and the sensless slaughter that had resulted, Hawke decided that if they wanted war then they would have war. not once in the throne room did Hawke try to negotiate, and when confronted by the Arishok Hawke stated that they both knew there was only one way to settle it.

Family: Hawke is compleatly devoted to his friends and family, and would defend them to the death if nesscesary. Hawke viewed the deaths of Carver and his mother, as well as Bethany's capture as a personal faliure to look out for his family. since Hawkes only goal upon arriving to Kirkwall was to protect his family, Hawke was quite bitter after his mothers death, as he had failed in the only thing he had wanted.

The Dalish: perhaps one of Hawkes most notable quirks is his fascination, and borderline obession, with Dalish culture and crafts. visitors to Hawkes estate often marvle at the sizable collection of Dalish weapons, tools, armors and other crafts that came into Hawkes possesion throughout his adventures. as a child in Lothering Hawke had once heard one of the elven laborers tell the story of the fall of the dales, and the begining of the Dalish wanderers, Hawke was quite impressed with the sheer determination of the Dalish, and liked the concept of refusing to submit no matter what.

the Chantry: though the chantry sisters of lothering tried to teach Hawke to be a faithful follower, this largely proved to be an exercise in futility. Though not as focused on practicality as Carver he wasn't as willing to accept the chant of light for what it claimed to be as Bethany did. as Hawke grew older he became more and more jaded and distanced himself from the chantry, claiming that he'd have plenty of time to sort out his beliefs when he was dead. After Merrill moved in with Hawke, many whispered that he had converted to the Dalish religion, a rumor that Hawke neither confirmed nor denied.

The end: Hawke was enraged that Anders had betrayed his trust nd destroyed the Chantry. The true reason Hawke was angry though, was because Anders had single handedly ensured that nobody would side with the mages, which sealed their fate. since Bethany, and now Merrill, were the only family Hawke had left he sided with the mages. after the battle, Hawke became fed up with Kirkwall and it's neverending cycle of crisis, and fled with Merrill Hoping to find some remote village to settle in and wait out the rebellion.

My more fleshed out Hawke was a female rogue. I'll try to describe her in terms of what I attempted to roleplay during the story, without changing the details of the game.

She was often sarcastic or witty to try to lighten the mood, but she had an understanding of when it was time to be serious.

Despite, or maybe especially because of, not getting along very well with Carver, she was sad when he died. She did love him and wished that they could have reconciled their differences. She poured her efforts into being a better big sister to Bethany. She felt that Bethany was safer staying at home with mother when she went on the Deep Roads expedition, so Hawke left Bethany at home, where she was found by the templars and carted off to the circle.

When she got to Kirkwall, she decided to become a smuggler, because she felt that doing a bit of illegal trade and theft was less distasteful than killing people for money. She generally tried to avoid killing people if she didn't have to (if they weren't blood mages), though she wouldn't try too hard not to offend, so she sometimes wound up in fights that might have been avoided.

She sometimes chafed at the responsibility placed on her shoulders as the eldest child and later as the hero of Kirkwall, but she realized that someone had to take up the mantle of responsibility.

She was an idealist, believing in personal freedom at almost all costs. She got along well with Anders, romanced him, and was somewhat swayed by his more extreme libertarian idealism. She might not have condoned blowing up the chantry at the beginning of the story, but she felt he was justified when he did it.

She got along with Isabela, as well, despite their differences. She saw Isabela as an example of a true free spirit, free of responsibility and self-sufficient. While she wouldn't really wish to be like Isabela on serious consideration, she did admire her and was fairly tolerant of Isabela's indiscretions. When Isabela left and didn't come back, though, her view polarized; she began to see that kind of 'freedom' as irresponsibility that is harmful to others. She still believed in personal freedom, but she felt that one must always consider the freedom of others, as well as one's own freedom. Isabela had left hundreds of others to die for her crime. Hawke was almost glad that she didn't come back.

Hawke hated blood magic. She never trusted demons and felt that anyone who would make a bargain with one was foolish at the least and more likely reckless and/or power-hungry. She gave mages that she couldn't be sure practiced blood magic the benefit of the doubt, but she almost always killed blood mages when she knew them. She and Merrill chafed. She saw that Merrill had good intentions, but she felt that Merrill was badly misguided. Hawke refused to help her further her goals through the use of blood magic. Her hand was forced, however, when the Keeper gave her the arulin'holm, because Hawke felt that it was wrong of her to keep an artifact belonging to the Dalish people, even if she also thought it was wrong to give it to Merrill. Giving it to Merrill was the lesser of two evils in her mind, so she reluctantly handed it over.

Her mother's death affected her deeply, as she felt that it had been her responsibility to look after her family, and she had already failed with Carver and Bethany.

She didn't have much faith in the Maker. According to the chantry, he had turned his back on Thedas, so she didn't feel any special obligation to do things his way. She also felt that the chantry was an oppressive, tyrannical organization claiming political power that it didn't have a right to.

She developed an understanding for Fenris, even if she didn't agree with his view on mages. She would have defended him to the death against slavers, but they bickered about mages often. She came to feel respect and friendship for him, which is why she greatly regretted having to kill him in the end when he turned against her. She didn't understand his lack of remorse because she thought that the respect was mutual.

She enjoyed ribbing Aveline when the mood was light, but she could also speak plainly with Aveline when the situation called for it. The only time that she deflected seriousness with Aveline was after her mother died. Hawke felt that she had too many responsibilities to break down at that point in time.

Hawke thought of Varric as somewhere between a cool uncle and a great guy pal. He was entertaining and protective of her and her friends, which ingratiated him in her eyes.

Overall, I tried to play her as someone who is extremely guided by morality, but not as morally rigid as a paladin. I wanted her to make some questionable decisions, but to ultimately have good intentions and quite a bit of empathy for the suffering of others, while not being a stick in the mud about it.

This.

My Hawke wanted to help the Qunari take over Kirkwall, but couldn't.

My Hawke wanted to kill Meredith and put Cullen in charge, but wasn't allowed.

My Hawke wanted to lock all the mages in their rooms, test them individually for being an abomination or blood mage, and kill those who fail - but wasn't allowed.

My Hawke wanted to grab his sister and let Kirkwall go to hell at the end, but wasn't allowed.

So my Hawke helped defend the abominations and blood mages in the Gallows, THEN grabbed his sister and left.  And never wants to see the place again.

Depends on the Hawke, my most recent is Camilla Hawke, Angry Pro-templar Primal/Forces mage.

Carver: Camilla loves her brother dearly, and supported him in everything he did when she wasn't harassing him for her own amusement. She wasn't upset by his decision to join the templars, in fact she was pleased that he was finally trying to make something of himself, rather than complaining about being in her shadow. So long as he remembered she was family.

Love life: Camilla tried to make a romance work with Fenris, but when he left her she rebounded into a tempestuous relationship with Anders. Alas, that ended when Mr. Murderknife came out to play.

Companions: Sebastian was a surprising friend, though it annoyed her he refused to take his rightful place in Starkhaven, she eventually supported his decision to remain a brother in the Chantry. Aveline was the big sister she'd never wanted, always sticking her chin in her business where it didn't belong. Despite that, or because of it, Cam still loved her and helped her whenever she needed it. Fenris was The One Who Got Away, if only she'd known she only had to wait three years for him to come to his senses. Tragic. Varric was Varric. 'Nuff said.

Non-Companions: Camilla had no relationship with Merrill. Anders was an abomination, but he healed her and had... other uses. She left Merrill in the Alienage after fulfilling her promise to Flemeth. She avoided her when she could (But of course couldn't stop her other companions from visiting) and was somewhat amused when Merrill decided to fight her in the Gallows. The poor girl was delusional. She thought she was important enough to change her mind. It was a merciful death.

Isabella she never had much use for, and when the shameless pirate ran off with the relic it just confirmed every bad thing she thought about her.

Qunari: She could respect their power, if not their way of life.

Mages vs. Templars: Camilla supports the Circle because she believes that people in general are stupid and selfish. Stupid and selfish mages can cause much more damage than stupid and selfish mundanes or templars. So to the Gallows they all go. She's not a hypocrite, she's just better than everyone else. Life in Kirkwall has done nothing but continually reinforce this view.

My Hawke, was like a medieval Edward James Olmos, walking into a classroom of dumb, inner city knights and wizards, and teaching them all the true meaning of Christmas.
Then killing them.

My first Hawke was a rouge and a Diplomatic Hawke in almost all senses of the word. He strongly believed in helping people and always tried to find a compromise even when things seemed got worse. He found he sympathized with both mages and templars and tried to help either side on a case by case basis. This eventually resulted in him being good friends with both Anders and Fenris. But this also resulted in him not getting along so well with either Isabella or Merrill beause he didn't aprove of piracy blood magic or consrting with demons, so he found himself with no love interests over the course of the game. He was slowly becoming friends with Isabella though, until she betrayed him and abandoned Krikwall to it's fate.  He grew to have a strange respect for the Arishok (though I was apparently one conversation away from getting respect in return). In the end, he believed the templars were necessary and important, but that Meredith's methods were too counterproductive to be allowed to continue. This resulted in him picking neither side until the Right of Annulment. As a player I could tell that most if not all of my efforts to find a peaceful solution were going to be in vain, but from an in character perspective I beleived in it until the very end when Anders destroyed the Chantry. I think it made for an interesting narrative: the story of a man who was tying desperately to stop his new home from tearing itself apart. And the fact that in the end it was traitors and cowards from within his own team, who he thought were his friends, that undid all his work was a rather poetic irony. So after he executed Anders, he protected the mages and then basically it was just him saving what little he could and finally leaving. The fact that he was reunited with Bethany in the Circle made for an nice ending I think to a fascinatingly downbeat finale.

My second was a female warrior who also felt strongly about helping but always believed in freedom as the most important thing and decided that saving the mages was a worthwhile cause. Funnily enough in contrast to the previous guy she ended up flirting with everyone, but eventually chose Isabella (who came back this time). She supported mages whenever she could (althugh some of the Templars task were kind of no brainers), actively worked to overthrow Meredith and even helped Anders set the bomb in the Chantry. After she realized what he had done, she was outraged but deiced to let him go as payment for saving Bethany from the taint. She also had a much better relationship with Merrill.

That must have been a short game.

@ OP

I imported the DA world of the Hero of Ferelden from the Surana background, who asked for the Magi boon and left into the Eluvian with Morrigan after Amaranthine and Amgarrak.

My protagonist was a rogue Hawke who was shaped by a life on the run from the templars, raised by an apostate father, and looking out for his little brother and sister. Hawke cared about his family, and it informed his choice to go to aid the army at the ruins of Ostagar when he heard about the darkspawn horde. He fought against the armies of the Archdemon, helped his younger brother survive and get to safety when Loghain pulled back his men, and pushed himself to get to his family before the horde reached Lothering.

Hawke was apprehensive about working with the templar Wesley because of his sister, dealt with his brother's demise, and allowed Aveline to decide her husband's fate. He headed to Kirkwall and became a smuggler, working for Athenril closely and became invaluable to the group, making connections in the underworld and gaining a reputation for always being one step ahead of the Coterie. He thought that the Chantry controlled Circles were a failure and sought to protect his sister from the templars.

Unlike The Warden, who pushed Alistair to embrace his heritage and convinced Leliana that she didn't have to be ashamed of her adventurous spirit, Hawke didn't try to push his companions. He had solid friendships with many of his companions: Aveline, Isabella, Anders, Merrill, Bethany, but he took exception to the anti-mage sentiments of Fenris and Sebastian, which lead to rivalry.

In the years we didn't see, Hawke used his fortune and connections to try to help the disenfranchised of Darktown, to aid the impoverished elves of the Alienage, to assist Anders in smuggling mages out of the Gallows, and building up a plethora of alliances with the nobility who were seeking to oust Meredith from power. He romanced Merrill and supported her efforts to give her people a part of Arlathan that could fundamentally change their way of life, and believed in her ability to pull it off.

Despite all the turmoil in Kirkwall as the tension between the templars and the mages heated up (even after his mother was slain by a madman), Hawke stayed because he cared about his little sister Bethany (who became a Circle mage when she was taken by Cullen) and he wanted to become powerful enough to get his sister out of the Gallows.

In the end, he sided with the mages because he couldn't blame them for the actions of an apostate - Meredith was a tyrannical dictator who was out of control and insane, and he wasn't going to kill people who were innocent of an act Anders committed. He left Kirkwall on Isabella's ship, with his LI Merrill, to destinations unknown.

My Hawke ran around being everybody and their sisters errand girl, then got bored, became an abomination and killed everybody in Kirkwall.

Very similar to Jedi Master of Orion's post. My Hawke ran around trying to find diplomatic solutions to everything and failing miserably when almost everyone he tried to help turned on him, including the Arishok and Orsino. He was extremely disappointed by the actions of his friend Isabela and lover Anders, but stuck by both of them despite his better judgement, but in the end he left Kirkwall a disillusioned man.

That must have been a short game.

It was, and an ogre isn't even much of a final boss too! Image IPB
