Council (my Shep is pro-Galaxy, not pro-human, so if there is a choice akin to the ending on ME1, I'll save the Council again)
Geth (Tali is cute and stuff, but what Quarians did to the geth was wrong. And their attempts to control geth again make Quarians no better than Batarian slavers who implant their slaves with control devices. So, if there no peaceful solution, I will support the geth.)
Krogan (Another race that was wronged on the grand scale. And in ME2 there is an indication that they are able to work out aggression and be decent members of galactic community, so I want to give them a chance)

Cerberus will never get my Shep's support. Alliance is in the gray zone. I'm not going to protect them at all costs for sure, but I'll try help if I can. I don't know enough about rachni to make any judgments. Queen on Noveria was fine, but I can't judge the whole species based on one representative.

Council Races (mostly Turians though)
Alliance

I'd like the Geth and Quarians to co-exist, but if that's not an option I first have to see a "who attacks first"-sorta thing.

Thing is, for me, if there isn't a co-existence option, I'm actually going to have trouble siding against the geh, ever. If Legion's information is anything to go by, they don't even live on Rannoch and basically just want to be left alone. That and, y'know, the Quarians tried to kill them all and have apparently continually tried to for the last few hundred years.

^This^...Though with the information given so far in ME2, I would be surprised and I think disappointed if I can't convince them to start working on peace negotiations and work together t stop the Reapers in ME3.

As for the rest...I am not great fan of the Alliance (I like Admiral Hackett though)...but I prefer them to Cerebrus...very much don't like Cerebrus....And would probably take the Rachni over the Krogans, I think the Rachni would be awesome in battle, and as someone else mentioned...'their music's'...I like that concept, it really appeals to me and I would like to explore it further.

The Council...I'm still out to lunch on that one....thats definitely one to be looked into when the time comes.

I've added Spectres to the Council Races, and added a Non-Council Race option of Hanar, Elcor and Volus. Just in case some of you like those races.

Also, interesting to see that the Geth seem to have more support than the Quarians atm.

My Shep supports anyone on the Normandy. Everything and everyone else she saves is just collateral. She's interested in keeping the galaxy alive, but she's really not 'attached' to anything besides her ship and the crew.

Cerberus/Alliance - both if I can if not depends on whether or not Cerberus is an enemy in ME3 and why

I also want these 2(3) because I believe they'd be the most on-board with my plans to brutalize (figuratively) the Council races for epic fail in their self appointed task.  I'm thinking having them finance all restoration efforts as well as a hefty Nearly Doomed the Galaxy fine.  If that doesn't bankrupt them I'll come up with something else, I am not letting the 3 Stooges run the show anymore.

Remember that the Volus will automatically be on your side if the Turians are! They are a client race of the Turians after all.

Though thinking on this matter now it would be funny if the Volus use the chaos of the Reaper invasion to declare their agreement with the Turians null and void.

The Volus, because remember they have the ability to become almighty BIOTIC GODS! No mere reaper can stand up to them.

On a serious note:

It's tough to figure out some of the more gray area conflicts going on. Like, will they make us choose between the Salarians and the krogan, for one? It's been mentioned that by ME3 they are debating the genophage. If there's a debate going on, they know the Krogan are growing stronger, and somebody wants to escalate the genophage to additional baby killing levels.

So conflicts are likely to be between:

Systems Alliance Vs Cerberus-
Cerberus is small but resourceful, so I'm thinking either A. You pull TIM out of power and take over cerberus's resources for the alliance, or B. You regain the trust of the TIM and somehow get a pro-human/pro-TIM person in charge of the systems alliance.

Krogan Vs Salarians-
Do you keep the genophage in effect (maybe even escalating it to new levels)? The krogan would likely still support you, especially if you saved wrex. However, the fight would leave their population so low that they no longer have the numbers to repopulate under the effects of the genophage and go extinct. Or do you reverse the genophage and risk Krogan future aggression and possibly salarian civil war?

Geth Vs Quarian-
There are a few ways for this to play out. The Quarians could use a variation of the virus found during Legion's loyalty mission to render the Geth subservient to the "creators" again. This would retake the Quarian worlds bloodlessly and still give you Geth support. Quarians could retake their planets by force and cause one or both races to be rendered extinct or weakened. You could sabotage the Quarian Liveships, eliminating their food supply, and forcing their loyalty to the geth who could be convinced to produce food for the Quarians. This would essentially make the Quarians a client race to the geth.

Council (And Spectre's) Vs. Terminus Systems-
This is pure speculation but I don't see you gaining the full backing of the council without giving something up in return. I believe the terminus systems and their mercenary support may be available, especially if you warned Aria of the upcoming attempt on her life. However, the council is unlikely to willingly work alongside the scum that have been making their lives miserable for a good amount of time via raids on colonies.

You may be given the option of of backing the terminus systems by weakening the council in some way, or de-activate the relay into the terminus systems in order to make the Council feel secure the scum won't take advantage of them putting their full forces into the reaper fight.

Alternatively- Council Vs Rachni
Council races were at risk of being overwelmed and destroyed as a whole by the original rachni wars.

Along these lines I'd choose:

Systems Alliance (Humans are team players too!)
Quarians (Out of loyalty to tali, who has helped you through two games, instead of one)
Krogan (Salarians hold the line. Krogan break the line in half and shove it down your governments throat)
Council (Because if they didn't owe you enough already for saving them, they will now)

For my Paragon, Adeline Shepard:

Systems Alliance (If given the opportunity, Shepard is still loyal to the Alliance)
Council Races (The Non-Council Races aren't really all that great when it comes to action and military)
Rachni (The Queen is my homegirl)
Quarians (Provided they're not all killed by taking back their homeworld)
Krogan (Possibly help from our fellow Urdnot Wrex?)

I always have a soft spot for the underdogs. So right now I favor the Quarians and the Krogans. Guess the Rachni too if they ever play a major role, and any other race that is struggling to survive.
