360, therefore you can also purchase Me1 and get the most out of the game.

Buy Me1, beat it, play ME2...now start a new game without importing, see the huge difference that the transfer brings.

The difference transferring brings is next to NOTHING.  I own both and the interactive comic gives almost all the change you need.

If you have a PC that can run it decently (which isn't really that hard) then get it and ME1 on PC. Otherwise get it on 360 so you can buy the first game as well.

The interactive comic doesn't even mention Feros...

In addition to all the sidequest information and choices that you can make in ME1. For Example, the Asari at Virmire or Helena Blake.

I like those little bits and pieces myself, but I must admit they're not really at all too significant amongst story.

I have ME2 for the 360 but I would have to go with the PS3 version, it include most of the DLCs. Plus one disc instead of two (360).. I

PC, of course we have a Wii, and 360, and 4 PCs (including 3 laptops) that we play Mass Effect on. It doesn't really require much hardware wise.

Mass Effect will, in my mind, always be most at home on the PC, and that's the version I'd recommend to everyone, ever. It offers the full trilogy, and feels more at home there, and has the benefit of lasting longer--You'll be able to keep transferring the game files to your new computer, while the Xbox will eventually get replaced.

If you are insistent on being a console player (Which is understandable, if unfortunate), do Xbox before PS3, only because then you can access ME1 in full. PS3's comic may let you make some big decisions, but it a pale shadow of a husk of being able to play the full ME1--There's so much more to do, to decide, to just experience, and the comic doesn't substitute for that.

PC, but failing that Boxorz of Roxorz. Normally I would say PS3, but they went and pulled a massively stupid stunt allowing the information on many users of their PS3 network to slip into undesirable hands so as much as it pains me to say it Microsoft wins this round.

If one can call getting hacked a "massively stupid stunt," then I suppose that's accurate. Sony can only do so much to protect the PSN from getting blindsided by mouthbreathers with too much time on their hands. Same thing happened to World of Warcraft from 2009 to early 2010. It happens.

Anyway, as to the OP: both systems are fine. PS3 has slightly more convenient DLC acquisition, but if you're willing to play the first game I recommend 360 or PC.

From what I've heard, the PS3 has slightly better graphics, but a lot more glitches.

PS3 only have an advantage in Graphics if X game is console versions ONLY, multiplatform games PC always is infront of the consoles.

Mass Effect is born on Xbox 360, a year before the PC port by EA. If you really need to choose a console, take OBVIOUSLY the Xbox 360. the PS3 don't even and will NEVER (Microsoft has the rights) have the First game, and mass Effect 1 is 33.3% of the entire trilogy's fun.

I think Xbox 360 is definitelly the console for MassEffect. ME1 is still (console) exclusive to Xbox, and the only advantage the PS3 version of ME2 has is slightly better graphics and an interactive comic. Everything else is pretty much the same.
So yeah, I think Xbox360 is a no brainer in this situation.

You'll note there's a reason that I'm a Bioware fan and not a Blizzard fan, lots of reasons actually, their lack of security being one of them.

Ps3 is better than PC. Ps3 is the reason PC games stay afloat

Ah yes, ''Servers Protection'', the fact that our client databases should be hidden behind a complex mathematic Logarithm so the hackers can't attack and steal them...

We have dismissed that claim.

Bioware doesn't have multiple games that each require huge server networks to maintain.

Saying that Blizzard is lacking in security compared to Bioware is like saying a lamp is lacking in electricity compared to a desk. A desk does not require electricity to perform its basic function, as it is a goddamn desk.

PC, though I'd choose XBox 360 as the second best simply because it has ME1 as well, while all PS3 users get is a pathetic little interactive comic.

PC version of ME1 is the better of the two too, despite being somewhat buggy. It has higher res textures, faster loading (including elevators and textures), better Mako controls, better interfaces, a slightly less clumsy inventory system, individual squaddie control, better mini-games, free BDtS DLC and can be tweaked to get better shadows and improve other details.

Yeah but somehow I just prefer the Radial menus from the Xbox 360 version compared to...

I'm not a graphic ****, and the Xbox ME1's minigames we're simples and fast so you can continue your adventures as Shepard and not as ''Minigame.com user''. I never really played ME1 on console, but I think both a kind of equal, with a preference to the original Xbox 360 version.
