That's strange. He didn't have a problem fighting my female PC.Flamingdropbear wrote...

Meeran of the red iron seems to leer at a female pc when you introduce yourself to him.
Feynrials father has two dialogue paths based on what sex you are.
So small differences nothing major.

The Arishok will go straight into a duel without questioning a female Hawke if one condition is met (not his respect, but since this is no spoilers, I can't be more specific, except to say it has to do with Isabella). If that condition isn't met, and Fenris is in your party, the Arishok will only agree to duel a female Hawke after Fenris talks him into it.
Wha? My lady Hawke didn't meet any of these requirments and had no problem getting the Arishok to duel her. She had earned his respect. Thats all it takes.

Arishok: I do not wish to fight a woman.
Fenris: Oooh you wont be saying that after you hear what she was saying about your mother before we entered the Keep.
Arishok: ಠ_ಠ

Uncle Gamlin seems to get his rocks off if you are a fem hawke going out with isabella
You know what's awkward?
Gamlin goes to the Blooming Rose on a regular basis.
Carver goes to the Blooming Rose on a regular basis.
And you can have your Hawke go to the Blooming Rose on a regular basis.
So you, your brother and your Uncle could be having sex with the same prostitutes.
Yeah. Mental images.

If it's a MaleHawke, she would claim how incredible he is, and how easily he would unite the Dalish clans if he was born a Dalish, then cause half the world to wage war against the elves. If it's a FemHawke, she would claim to admire and even idolize her, saying just how smart and beautiful FemHawke is.

I know Merrill's friendship romance has different dialogues based on MaleHawke or FemHawke.

I never played the male character, but that's revealing and truly sexist if that is how it plays. May as well say that Isabela was a former member of the female Order of the Titonic Knights.

And pissing off all of Thedas, thus bringing about the ruination of the entire Dalish civilisation (only because the player is male) isn't?Tommy6860 wrote...

People throw the word 'sexist' around too freely.

Your point? I think what I said is representative of a difference in the dialogue. The game is bent on murderous action. Yet the dialogue mentioned reflects differently because of female/male characterizations. It wasn't meant to be some degree of political correctness.

The only difference I've noticed is that I've become terribly uncomfortably playing a Lady Hawke thanks to all the creepy comments on these forums posted by male Lady Hawke players.
I really should post pics of FemHawke x Bethany romance pics to mess with your mind.

Just wondering, aside from the obvious romance dialogue options, are there any major differences in the gaming experience between the genders?
Is it a few dialogue changes or are there major gameplay changes?
Female characters get kidnapped by rapists, male characters don't.
Wait, that was in DA:O. CE origin.
In DA2? Nothing noteworthy with regards to plot.
