Hmm it worked for me
I changed my EA profile to the UK, and then paid from a UK paypal account
Which actually didn't have any money in it, so I had to fund it with my credit card which admittedly is also UK-based

i believe you have to either pay with non russian paypall or credit card. the whole story and the fact that EA is absolutely silent about it is disgusting. again, they already have a branch here - EA Russia, which is useless.

As I remember it, both Fallout 3 and Oblivion's DLC were on both Steam and Direct2Drive, maybe Impulse or Gamers Gate as well?

The question of how to get DLC in Russia legitimately still stands.

We can buy the game itself, so there must be a way to buy DLC as well.

So is there any official representative of EA or Bioware who can tell us how to do this?

And seriously, we can't do anything. So just kinda forget about it. I hope Bioware will not make any DLC for ME 2 or they will not be interesting.

Lol, steam support russian credit cards, blizzard also support. EA-don't support. It is very funny. I don't want to ask my friends in Europe to buy bioware points. I don't want to use torrents. I want to pay money to bioware and get DLC

И все-таки нецензурные ругательства так и хочется высказать - а для Украины и PayPal и оплата кредитками доступны и любые попытки оправдания о том, что там это все проходит - бред. Валютное законодательство Украины ни чем не лучше нашего и дерут там за операции с нерезидентами не дай Бог ни кому . Пошел слушать песню Шнура про выборы.
Выборы, Выборы, в ЕА одни..... Ну, вы поняли 

P.S. Страна регистрации меняется через profile.ea.com, только толку от этого никакого, так как даже если доступны опции PayPal и Credit Card, то транзакции все равно не проходят

Ну можно попросить друзей и родственников в других странах оплатить. Зимой наверное в Израиль поеду, там и оплачу. Надеюсь, что для EA Израиль нормальная страна.

In steam u can upgrade normal version to collector version, and recieve all DLC. I'm hope, that third DLC will be in steam.

but yes this is rather stupid. at least its good to know they are working on it its not like i care only about DAO DLC, but Mass Effect 2 will be out soon and we might have similar situation. it would be so dull

This is pretty absurd situation. People who purchased the game legally and actually want to pay developers and distributors more money for more content can not do it. Torrents are no option for me here as i want to be totally legal BioWare customer and don't want to taint my experience of DA:O even with slightest traces of piracy. That seems it means that i'm screwed with any upcoming DLC's. Ugh, such is fate of legitimate customer, i guess.

By the way, why all this hassle with points? Why not to charge old fashioned money for DLC directly, be that bucks, euros or whatever currency BioWare wants? Surely reminds me of Live with it's whole lot of stupidity.

I don't know what happend but eventually i was able to pay (finally). I used my paypal (change its country to not-Russian federation). Now i am downloading wardeen's keep. But i can't see most newest DLC (return to ostagar).

I'm from Czech Republic.
I've bought game from STEAM (DDE).
The notebook bought in USA. OS also "like". Steam is installed as English.

The only one connection to Russia which I have that I'm speaking russian (as my native language) but my notebook doesn't need to know about it. And yet, still, I can't to buy these #$^#$ points, and system marking me as Russian Federation... One question here. WTF?

Aha. My freaking EA account was set as Russian Federation from Mass Effect times.
So, I've changed it to USA/English and now I have all possible access to pay.

They should allow points to be purchased elsewhere and be redeemed here afterwards. Contributing to piracy can't be the only way around this. People will do whatever they can to get something they like and EA should seek out other venues if they can't do it on their own for whatever reason.
