I would agree with you. Decades ago, America was a utopia of freedom and prosperity. Now she's turned into a trashheap and getting worse with each passing day.The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

Forget nudity, I'll even take some shirtlessness at this point.

If the game doesn't call for nudity, well, why have it? But 50 pounds of chainmail and plate armour in bed is pretty bad. Probably why only rogues and mages (less armoured classes) were love interests. I would have preferred Merrill stay clothed than wear that ****ty Blooming Rose **** outfit.

"Some fear change and will fight it with every fibre of their being. But sometimes, change is what they need most. Sometimes, change is what sets them free." - that would be a change of clothes into something more "comfortable" during intimate scenes.

Want to read that book, sorry it does not conform to our beliefs. Listen to that music, no no no, you will listen to what we tell you to listen to, because, well because we say so. Same for movies, TV, and now video games.
And they have the power to make decisions for other people because someone is afraid to stand up to them. After the ME1 mess, which came down to one person having a cable channel take notice of them, BW is not going to ruffle any feathers, just to make some people happy. Not when money is at stake. And it is alot of money.
It will be interesting to see how TW2 does, with nudity in the game, without mods, are there going to be stores that won't carry it?
The world wonders!

I agree.
I would have thought they could at least show Fenris standing there with an intense gaze on Hawke while Hawke slowly removes his top to reveal more of his markings and touch them while he embraces the feeling to them being touched-as opposed to the feeling of an aversion to being touched- with his eyes rolling up till they close and have her kiss them.... fade to black.
Fade in... you see the back of his head over Hawke's face and in a breathy tone he swears in Tevinter in disbelief. Then you see him and Hawke from the side of him over Hawke in a face cropped view-
He stares intently into Hawke's eyes as if trying to look for something in Hawke's eyes.
Hawke then gently takes Fenris's cheek into Hawke's hand with warmth to which Fenris grasps Hawke's hand in a desperate clutch to his face....fade to black.
Then go to the scene of him at the fireplace.
I had something like that in my head. At least had to fill in some gaps where Bioware left out.
Heck, they gave us more in DAO and I think because of the mods they didn't want anything that could be modded into more smexy scenes of controversy.
But did they really have to do away with some revealing skin entirely? A guy's bare chest is not even considered partial nudity anyways.
It wouldn't have hurt the game to throw in more romance scenes during the lovemaking.
They either did away with it for censorship or because it was "streamlined" for budget reasons.
Either way. It really was lacking, especially since it was so hard to romance Fenris in the first place.
After all that, we should have been rewarded with at least a shirt off scene.. geesh.
But if it was the reason of censorship to make more family oriented, then explain how Lady Gaga who is all about freaky sex is not only accepted by parents, but enjoyed by parents and their kids both. Heck, kids look up to her as inspiration and a role model, complete with their parents' approval.
Now that's backazzwards.

I *think* Fenris' tattoos were part of the problem. To show him with a bare chest would still require a body model with these tattoos and I could imagine that it was indeed left out for budget reasons or due to time constraints.fightright2 wrote...

Yeah, I think so too. Because they didn't change the desire demon's content. That demon and Isabela were pretty much all the "nudity" we got throughout it.
Even visiting the prostitutes was pretty much a bore. What was the point when there was nothing to see? Why even bother with it? Eh.
I saved before trying it and thought it was such a rip off of my money that I went back and reloaded my save. Now I don't even bother with them in my other playthroughs.

Gaider said that he wanted to show Fenris shirtless. The designers asked him what he would want to cut for that. So it was a problem with the budget.

Thanks a lot EA. It always adds up to budget due to a rushed deadline. <_<
I hope this is a lesson to you that you can't rush art if you want to perfect it. Imagine what we would have if Michelangelo was rushed for the Sistine Chapel.
Gaider and Bioware design staff deserves to have his fantastical creations materialized and perfected to it's highest peak. That was what WE deserve as fans. Anything less only proves to us how greedy big business corps are and their true desires are always willing to take up a great artist to manipulate the wallets of consumers for something half it's worth and at the cost of great artists and their reputation.
If you stand by them and help cultivate their talents, then you will not only be known for great quality with much profitable returns, you will have the respect of fans in being the best that artists seek to be under.

Uh...a romanceable Orsino for a DLC going outside Kirkwall would have been nice. Instead, they made him turn himself into that blimp to fight the templars only to come after you. Now that makes a lot of sense.
What a waste of a good character. He was noble up to that stupid stunt.

I agree with your point about a a waste of an interesting character, not so much the noble part. The jackass helped kill the champions mom. He could have been better used though that much I'll agree.

Yeah, forgot about that. But yeah, I think he could have been used for some great DLC at least.

It was the same problem with Isabela; she has a special body model that's only shared with Bethany, and neither of them has a bra and panties texture set. Merrill and Anders can get "naked", because they have generic human male/elven female bodies. That weird bustier thing that Merrill wears is "naked" elf girl.

Also completely off topic but would a person who doesn't play shooter games like mass effect at all?
I am curious about it since everyone mentions it.
In response to your question, I don't play shooters at all. Not really a fan of them but I do own/play mass effect 2. It's a fantastic game that I'm really glad I got. I can't speak for other ppl but I really enjoy the game.
