Before I start I will say I will mention one or two rumours of ME3 so please if you do not hear anything about the rumours of the story please do not read this and ignore it.
From what I have heard about the story of the final mass effect story with shepherd it sounds like Shepherd is symbol to the resistance against the reapers.
Which is exactly the same as John Connor in terminator salvation (T4) in which he predicted this would happen, he knew the T100 (the arnold edition) would come to light and nobody believed him until it happened and he became a icon to the humans fighting the machines someone they listened to and to believe their is still hope.
Which it sounds like shepherd has became the very same person in ME3 considering shepherd knew the reapers were coming and tried to stop it and prepare the galaxy to fight against their return even when nobody else believed him/her. The rumours I have heard makes it sound like he what the soliders, citizens look up to in the dark times believing he/she can stop them.
and not criticising Mass Effect or the terminator film just commenting on how remarkably similar the characters have become in the film and the game in my opinion.
just curious as well if you all think the same or shepherd reminds you of someone else?
