Do you think the Illusive Man will present a physical challenge at some point in ME3?

I read somewhere that he used to be something of a soldier back in the old days, so he must have some skills.

He's probably past his prime by now, but with the existence of cybernetics it's hard to judge how dangerous a person is just by looking at her.

Plus the Illusive Man is so resourceful that he might make up for whatever physical disadvantages he may have with ingenuity alone.

According to the books, he has biotics, so he might be able to provide a physical challenge.

Maybe, maybe not. I'd presume that they'd want to give the player a choice between saving and killing him. Kai Leng will almost certainly provide a boss fight - or perhaps more than one.

I think a face-to-face confrontation would detract from his character. Let him be the chessmaster.
I'd rather duke it out with Kai Leng.

Well in the 3rd novel he actually wound up in a firefight, and even after a fairly short encounter he was beginning to feel tired and out of breath. Plus after a close call such as what happened in that novel he pretty much vowed to never take another risk like that again.

Unlikely it would come down to fisticuffs with him and Shep, but that'd be cool.

My theory is that he has implanted himself with reaper technology like Paul Grayson from Retribution.

I can't picture the current Illusive man fighting, he seems so civil and classy...
I think you will have to fight his best guard as a boss and then do some talking with him where you can either kill or leave him....

The idea that I could fight a Sheen is quite exciting.

He'll be on a quest to claim absolute victory.

it's quite obvious he's something else and not human, so i'm going to say that maybe he implanted himself with reaper technology and you fight him as a boss and can choose to kill him or keep him alive

I hope not. The cool thing about characters like Blofield of SPECTRE is you don;t fight them. They always escape in the nick of time. The enemy behind the scene should stay that way so he can be a threat another day.

He'll just take a drag of his cigarette and disappear in a cloud of smoke. You defeat him by swapping out his cigarettes with E-Cigarettes.

Meh, at best that would be a fight like Benezia and he'd not much more than hiding behind his chair whilst I get going killing the guards he summoned. The moment Shepard get into combat range with TIMmy means he pretty much screwed up bigtime and wouldn't be posing a threat anyhow.

I rather have some dialog with him, you learn a deep secret, and then you can decide what to do with him

Spoiler

The assassin has overcome my final line of defense, and now he plans to murder me. In the end what separates a man from a slave? Money? Power? No, a man chooses, and a slave obeys!  You think you have memories. A farm. A family. An airplane. A crash. And then this place. Was there really a family? Did that airplane crash, or, was it hijacked? Forced down, forced down by something less than a man, something bred to sleepwalk through life unless activated by a simple phrase, spoken by their kindly master. Come in. Stop, would you kindly? Would you kindly, powerful phrase. Familiar phrase? Sit, would you kindly? Stand, would you kindly? Run! Stop! Turn. Was a man sent to kill, or a slave?

KILL!
A man chooses!
A slave obeys!
OBEEEEEEY!

Best moment in a videogame. Holy shiiiit.

I loved that moment too. Too bad nothing like that would work here.
