Personally I'd like to see more "fights" like the spectre and shadow broker.

No.
Shepard's dad died in at least one of the backgrounds too.

I wouldn't be surprised if BioWare pulled a Loghain on us with him.Clonedzero wrote...

I however believe TIM may be or become Indoctrinated in ME3 as a story variable, but I hope we don't fight him. I would love to wee him chat with a Reaper though...it would be faecinating...especially if you saved the base and knows now how to avoid Indoctrination.
I think, also, TIM is on Mercury.

Seriosly, the Emperor was supposed to be this great manipulator of people, right? He could influence people through incredible intricate plots and by twisting their emotions against themselves. Now they've got him pirrouetting through the air with a lightsaber. And then there's Yoda. This great, wise sage guy? The guy who said this incredible powerful and moving stuff? Oh look, he's doing backflips off the wall. I thought this **** was ridiculous even when I was 14.
<_<
Plus, I get the impression that, if TIM has to resort to physical combat, he would consider that he has lost already.

I don't think the novels established him as a biotic, although he might still become one.Minister of Sound wrote...
According to the books, he has biotics, so he might be able to provide a physical challenge.
Personally, I'd like a fight with The Illusive Man to be a QTE-fistfight, with Paragon/Renegade-interrupts as the QTE-inputs. Of course, you'd win the fight regardless, but the interrupt would flavour the battle with alternate combat moves and dialogue.

And TIM a biotic? Hope that's not true.
@Vengeful Nature Really? I just loved that part as a kid. Though it's true what you're saying

As for his history, check the latest comic (Mass Effect: Evolution), there gets explained how he got his stale-blue creepy eyes. It's an form of Reaper tech, but not completely the way people think....

anybody remember that awesome boss fight in Bioshock when you fought Andrew Ryan?
Yep, it was a great moment.
This is how Bioware should do the confrontation with the Illusive man. Him giving a finale speech, perhaps even tell something that twist the story.
No fighting.

If I remember correctly, it was stated that he had a biotic implant attached to his frontal lobe.

Spoiler
The assassin has overcome my final line of defense, and now he plans to murder me. In the end what separates a man from a slave? Money? Power? No, a man chooses, and a slave obeys! You think you have memories. A farm. A family. An airplane. A crash. And then this place. Was there really a family? Did that airplane crash, or, was it hijacked? Forced down, forced down by something less than a man, something bred to sleepwalk through life unless activated by a simple phrase, spoken by their kindly master. Come in. Stop, would you kindly? Would you kindly, powerful phrase. Familiar phrase? Sit, would you kindly? Stand, would you kindly? Run! Stop! Turn. Was a man sent to kill, or a slave?
KILL!
A man chooses!
A slave obeys!
OBEEEEEEY!
Best moment in a videogame. Holy shiiiit.
second best game ever made after ME1. i always hated that i COULDNT not kill andrew ryan. by the time i took that second swing of the golf club, i knew exactly what bioshock meant to me as a gamer.

He's a great character and Martin Sheen does a fantastic job with his voice acting, but my Shep can't wait to space him. Somewhere there is an airlock with TIM's name on it!
