TIM as late game squadmate in ME3!

TIM = Logaine from DA:O.  Nice.

Exactly. I wouldn't want BioWare pulling another Loghain on us.

I do.

He could be indoctrinated like Saren.

Honestly, I think that the Illusive Man might join up with us at some point in the game. In some form we'll duke it out with him, but Cerberus and the Alliance are going to have to team up at some point. I think that these are clips from ME3 hidden in the Arrival DLC:

Pretty interesting, huh?

If you've read the Evolution comics, you know that the Illusive Man will probably be the key to figuring out something reaper-wise. I don't think killing him will be an option for us in ME3, he is a major character. If he ends up dying, it will be the story that will kill him off.

If that's true, it's nothing new. BioWare wants to surprise us, I don't think he's indoctrinated.

Rather likely the opposite.

As in him somehow gaining control oooooooover the Reapers? I can see that one happening.

It would be a lot more powerful if you had the choice between letting him live and bringing him into alliance custody, letting him go or executing him in cold blood. Fighting him would just seem like such a copout and it would be the heroic "I'm forced to kill him in self-defense" type of thing rather than a true difficult choice.

Turning him over to the alliance: Maybe he escapes, or he has connections to get him released so he disappears and restarts Cerberus - can you really trust the alliance?

Letting him go: Will he restart Cerberus? Almost certainly, is that what you want? Maybe you believe in Cerberus and he agrees not to come after you again, but do you trust him?

Killing him: End it once and for all, put a bullet into his head in cold blood and walk away. You don't trust him or the alliance, or you just want revenge.

What was the point of his important backstory in Evolution, then? I think that the Illusive Man has a huge role in stopping the reapers. He is an asset that Shepard needs.

Hmm, that would definitely explain the reasoning behind the Evolution comic. I can really see him discovering how to take control based on the given events of what happened to him in Evolution.

I doubt it. In Retribution he's exhausted after a short firefight. If anything it might be like this though.

Go ahead and skip to 3:05 for the part I'm talking about.

If Shepard is not even given the choice to kill TIM after he tries to kill Shepard, I will be very disappointed. I won't necesserily kill him, because I can use him - but if the choice is not there then it will be a slight letdown and not as important of a decission as it would be if you can kill him.
