I always knew these mainstream gaming magazines and websites were full of ignorant people with little credibility, and this podcast just confirms it even more.

Oh christ, those were the most frustrating 30 minutes of my life. Those guys were painful to listen too. They didn't tell anything new anyway, and they were mostly just rambling like some casual idiots. In particular that idiot-proof talk about importing a dead Shepard to ME3 was insulting to anyone with just a sign of intelligence.

After those 3 interviews with wonderful Casey Hudson, listening to those guys for 40 minutes was painful. Save yourselves the time and just re-watch the 3 Hudson's videos. They don't say anything new, just a rehash of what was said previously.
Sigh, too true
I'm a bit annoyed with my self. I've listened to these GI Q&A sessions before and every single time it's downight awful.
A mixture stupid questions not filtered out and those guys answering just going on about what they think might happen, not based on what they saw at the demo, just speculating.
Like trying to answer can you get married at the end of the game, christ.

Did I mishear or did they say there would be more of the Yahg?
Sounded like one of them made the same mistake everyone around here made, which was thinking the Batarian husk thing was a yahg.

Some of the gameplay stuff sounded cool. Tweaking of the weapons/powers elements seemed fun.
I didn't like their answer to returning characters. Suggesting on one hand they suggest that they won't want to invest time in characters who might be dead while at the same time they claim you're going to get fulfilling conclusion of those character stories you want to see seems incompatible to me.
Its a direct slap in the face to us ME 2 fans by Bioware .
I bet its a safe bet to assume that at least your LIs in ME2 would be permanent squadmates.
Why would they give you that decision with just a small role?
again... all LIs in Mass Effect 2 will likely be playable from the get go. Even if you did not romance them I bet. Those Characters like Garrus, Jacob, Thane, Tali, Miranda and Jack will likely be perm squadmates
That puts it at like at least (if they survived), Ash/Kaiden Liara and Sanders.
Thats 9 potential permanent squadmates. Who knows what they will do
Hopefully it works like that
I hope it does work out like that

I think they mentioned you literally start off from level 30 - Casey had only mentioned there was some bonus to loading a savegame from ME2.
But yeah, I couldn't help but feel that they could have cut the whole thing down to 15 mins or so with no loss of content

There are pictures, clearly of rachni, where they have been huskified.JaegerBane wrote...
Do we know those Husk-bugs were actually Rachni in the first place? Considering how Rachni work (and how the Rachni War actually started) it seems a bit weird they'd bother making them into husks. Once they have the queen the Warrior and Worker bugs become slaves anyway.

Relax, honey, it's still April. They aren't going to spoil the whole game for you just yet.
Like how only Tali was announced as a squadmate, and Garrus wasn't confirmed as until a month before release when we'd get 99% new crew, 1% returning squad members?

Maybe, but I also like to exaggerate sometimes, you know? And I kinda have a hard time with ignorant people, so it can be pretty hard to deal with it sometimes.

the real questions have yet to be asked imho!!
-will the guy ever get his refund?
-will we ever bring the shifty looking cow to justice?
-will we ever find out if the volus actually made the call and if he owns the room...and you?!
-are the krogans ever going to find their fish?
-is that quarian going to show the turian the stimulation do-dad she installed in her suit?
-are those two snobbish asari on illium ever going to have the sticks removed?
-did the salarian and his daughter pick a appropriate gift for her mom?
-did that lady ever figure out why the keeper kept rearranging her furniture?
-Is Rita and her sister still at Flux? is flux still there?
-Has Dr. Michel managed to stay out of trouble?
-Did dying mess up Shepard's groove? Will Shepard get the steps back? Will Shepard bust a move in ME3?
-how many pyjacks can be fit in a barrel?
to be honest im glad nothing too mind-bending was asked. so far it has been a steady pace of news..similar to how ME2 info was treated. I really like hearing the BioWare crew giving us some insights...with their voice and not the printed word i mean.

The question about what would happen to Shepard if he died in ME2 made me facepalm so hard.
Yeah, and the fact they actually picked that question in the first place and then talked about it for 5 minutes, tells a lot of what they think of their listeners.

They could of easily just spoke about the demo that they viewed, without taking into account any questions at all but i assume bioware told them not to at this early date. I would bet they didnt even take any of the questions people submitted, just making there own from what info theyve released themselves so far, because as someone has said before, no person who has followed mass effect 3 would ask questions on the info weve had, nor would they ask the sort of questions game informer "answered" in there podcast.

Apart from the storyline, a romance from ME1&2 will be "rewarded"?? I just want Tali as my permanent team mate, it will be reward enough.
And possibility of continuing a romance with her.
And it would be nice to see her face.
And some nice cutscene in the epilogue.
Hmm, that's a lot of things that I want.

I think we are all being a little too harsh on them. Obviously nothing amazingly groundbreaking was confirmed - but they are just GI members talking about what they saw and answering questions the best they could.
Lay off
We also have to consider that, as game journalists, they have to review/play dozens of games on a yearly basis. They probably have only played both ME and ME2 a handful of times at most, which is pathetic compared to the 10+ playthroughs (of both games) that many members of this board claim to have done.
In short, they may not be familiar with all the 'hardcore' knowledge of ME that we, as dedicated fans, consider trivial information.
