Like I said, I feel comfortable saying you are in the minority. And didn't Soveriegn and Haringer already tell us what their motives were? I thought it was rather clear.

I don't know... I've seen quite a few people here say they prefer the quarians be a mystery. Not sure about the numbers, but I've seen it.

As for The Reapers, they said that their motives are supposed to be beyond our comprehension and that we're incapable of understanding. That's not exactly going to be the case if we just find out and can understand it easily. There's a difference between thinking we know what their motives are and actually knowing them.

Organic evolution is random, unpredictable, chaotic.  They bring order to chaos. They delivery races from fear, hate, pity, and all other emotion prisons.  They take a race and "ascend" them. Each reaper is a race, a legion. From their prespective they are doing us a favor.

Speculation: People consentrate on visible aspect of reapers, but I think there is an obvious spiritual aspect that is ignored. You cannot transfer the essence of a person into a machine.  Pumping human guts into a hunk of metal is not going to humanize it. An AI is the sum of it's hardware and software. Personally, I think the reapers are kinda like the Ori/Ancients in Stargate existing in another dimension, only they can't directly interact with our dimension. They need flesh and blood to ancor their souls here. The dreadnaughts are just a conduit into the physical dimension - their avatars. I think when they are chilling in dark space they exist in some other plane like a person astral projecting. If not, I'd like to see if Bioware can come up with a less supernatural reason that doesn't spit in the face of contemporary scientific ideology.  It seems like it would be hard to make a purely technologal non-supernatural motivation. I mean, come one, they need gut pulp to make new reapers. How exactly do you explain that from a pure technological prospective without it just being completely stupid nonsense they flies in the face to rational thought. Again, an AI is an machine, an android. Cyborgs have organic flesh.

The Reapers have not made their true motives clear. They have not made it clear exactly why they do this.

And the podcast was simply a rehash of what have already been said. But it is nice to get it gathered into one piece.

And as for Tali's face, and Quarians face. I do know that there are numerous people who support not showing anything, as well as numerous people who support showing Tali's face or a random Quarian's face. Which group is bigger, it's hard to tell, i don't know. Though count me in among those who want to see Tali's face in ME 3.

There are numerous black men in the United States. But no matter how many you see on a daily basis black men only make up roughly 6% of the population. I understand that you would like it to be a mystery and we like to think that our opinions are popular, but I think human nature tends to favor curiosity.

If they show her face the mystery people will not riot.  Some will be happy because it is close to how they envisioned it and some will not because it’s not what they want. Ultimately, I think that is what it comes down to. If they can’t decide what she looks like then they’d rather it stay hidden so they can hold on to their own idea.

Even a small portion of people who want to see the face will be disappointed if it’s too human or not human enough. But if they don’t show a face 100% of them will be disappointed. They should never have let the cat out of the bag with the Tali romance. They might as well have punched every guy in the balls and ****** twisted every female. If that was their idea of a joke no one was laughing. That was one hell of a build up and one epic disappointment.

She is clearly humanish in the face. You can see that much through the mask. To simply say it is a placeholder is absurd as they could have made it completely opaque. But instead the merely made it translucent. You are clearly intended to make out her basic facial structure. They even went out of their way to demonstrate their sexual dimorphism in their mask silhouettes in ME2 so I assume they already have a quarian appearance in mind.
