yay....it's suppost to be the hardest mode, no...anything (within the realms of reason) to make it harder is perfectly fine in my opinion...

If exclusive to Insanity, then yes. Otherwise not; I despise friendly fire.

If we also can "heal" our squadmates, then yes

Sure, can't imagine it would make much difference; it's not like Grunt is charging every time you are.
It will probably not happen though.

No. It's pointless. I mean: two things can happen, and both are beyond your control:
1) your pc allies shoot you in the back, you die. How is that making the game harder? it just makes it annoying.
2) the pc ally runs in front of you while you're letting your revenant rip. pc friend dies, you get targeted and die.

This only causes frustration, NOT additional difficulty. so no. hell no.

Yay though Friendly Fire should only be on Hardcore (50%) and Insanity (100%) and it should only apply to Shepard's attacks.

Hm, both yay and nay.

1) If that blasted teammate AI is made smarter (I lost count the amount of times Miranda and others rushed to their deaths with me watching helplessly at it), it's a yay.
2) If they don't improve the AI, it's an nay. Certainly when I notice the bad-ass Cerberus teams coming at Shephard in ME3...

There is no reason for it.

According to Bioware, ME2's 'Veteran' will be ME3's 'Normal'.

I doubt that there will be anyone who will find Insanity too easy at that point.

Of course yay.

I'd love to one-shot Jacob who's constantly blocking my Widow shots with his fat behind and cursing me like it's my fault.

I hope Warp Bombs/Biotics won't do FF though. Otherwise Vanguard/aggressive Adept would be much less entertaining- it's nice to witness a Warp Bomb at zero distance, you know.

In general I don't think FF will make that big of a difference in ME since most of time, most of your squad will be fighting at range.

I think that s/he meant that the player can shoot and harm her/his own squadmates, not the enemies causing damage to each other.

No, you don't need it in a game like ME.

They can do that in ME2.

Rocket troopers can be pretty dumb sometimes.

Had that today when making an 4th playthrough (I've done more playthroughs then that, but I lost a couple of saves when my PC totally crashed...). One moment I nearly had a krogan down but had to duck for cover, next moment I popped back up again and noticed an vorcha had launched a rocket straight at the Krogan ^_^

They could just add it as an option like how auto-level is when you first start the game and is available throughout the game. Solves everyones suicidal/sadistic/insane/non-suicidal/sane needs.

Oh and BTW, Combat Drone is your friend against Rocket troopers. Best and dumbest enemy suicide ever.

No. I really don't feel like getting shot in the back with a shotgun on Insanity while it's already hard as balls.

It'd be aggravating as hell.

And if I want the enemies to do friendly fire, all I can say is that AI Hacking and Dominate are your friends.

Is friendly fire going to be an issue? I mean, how often do you send your squad mates directly in front of you? It's never going to be more than 1 bullet from a rapid fire weapon and that does hardly any damage anyway.
