Depends on how it's handled. If it's as broken as DA2 was with your warrior's whirlwind one-shotting your own companions but barely scratching a 1/3 of enemies health then no.

Know what, if its just Shepard that does friendly fire then I wouldn't mind that and they wouldn't need to change the AI. So you damage squadmembers if you shoot them but they can't damage you.

Only if it could be toggled on/off.

Yay, make sure it'd be universal between my squad and the enemy. Btw I see your FF and raise you one death only on Insanity.

its funny cuz there IS friendlyfire in the game, just not towards shepard. ive killed miranda with a cain before for example.

It's funny because, even though you can't kill your squaddies, they still complain when you shoot them.

Try shooting the Cain against a wall right in front of Shep ...
FF could be great as long as it doesn't screw the game like FF does in other (already mentioned) games. If it means you have to be careful which powers/weapons you use at times GREAT, if it means you cannot use half your powers anymore because it means suicide NO WAY.

If it can be toggle off, whatever. I'll have it off on all difficulties

If Suad AI improves, yes, even possibly on lower difficulty levels, if not, no.

Given the idiotic squad AI, they would probably kill me more often than the actual enemies. Unless they really improve the AI, I would not add "friendly fire". There are better ways to make the game harder. Actually, I think friendly fire would make the game more tedious, not harder, because you would learn how to avoid FF eventually anyway.
I'd like to go on the missions alone, with no squadmates. That would actaully fit the Insanity mode IMHO.

I wouldn't want it to be "part" of any difficulty. If it really needs to be in the game, they should put it as an additional option and make the damage taken increase with each difficulty instead. I am certain that I would be extremely annoyed by this and I don't want anything to ruin my insanity mode.

There is no reason for it.
According to Bioware, ME2's 'Veteran' will be ME3's 'Normal'.
I doubt that there will be anyone who will find Insanity too easy at that point.
It would be great news if the game difficulty would be like ME1 pc
