I have a copy of ME2 installed on my PC. My son has a steam account. He installed ME2 via steam.
I've been playing the PC version. I just grabbed the last three DLC releases. When I run the insatller, it installs into the Steam ME2 location. Thus, I can't play them from the PC version.
After reading that the saves were in my local user folder, I tried launching the Steam version. It saw my saves but could not load them because some of the older DLC was not installed.
However, when I try reinstalling the older DLC, it installs into my PC version.
Is it possible to install via the commandline and tell the DLC installer the path to use?
Is there any other solution other than uninstalling one version?

Using just one installation does seem like the easier way to go.
However, it's possible you could do a manual install of the DLC you need. See the FAQ for some links on the subject.

Thanks! Got it working.
I followed the info in section 2.2.3 of the FAQ and using the thread pointed to there about manually installing the DLC, I simply copied the DLC content over from the steam app to my version and it worked.
Thanks again.
