you hide elements which are not being used. Something like the following.

namefielddefault hidden=false
namefieldbigger hidden=true
namefieldelvish hidden=true

If you notice the mod is installed, then you do a quick hide of namefielddefault, then you show namefieldbigger or namefieldelvish.

This makes them separate things, but they only affect the end user if they have the proper mods done to their UI.

Yes, just in a way which makes it much more compatible with older content.

"And indeed has to have" is totally wrong though, if they decide to omit it, they just lose the added functionality, no other detrimental effect at all. This makes it entirely the choice of the end user. Obviously it means if omitted the nice fonts cannot be used, but we already have tools to make foreign languages look foreign in the basic fonts that come with the game.

can anyone tell me why I cant join online games, I tried to run the updater and it dont work ,, what do i need to do,, I have the platinum version of nwn2 and just bought a new computer to play it,, Please help with info, or patches you may know of!!!!!

Are you on steam? did you get them to send you a cdkey for online use, you don't get it by default from what i understand. Make sure you are not using the EA provided login and password either, as NWN2 is not connected to your login and password here, in fact it's a competing company.

I would suggest posting here --> NwN 2: Technical Support (Self Help for all versions and expansions) so you can actually get help.
