In Dragon Age 3 all romances will include full plate armor and fullbody condomes.

Seriously, with each new Bioware game they chicken out more and more and cover characters up.

You forgot the turtleneck chastity belts... :-)

Neither, sex doesn't work like it does in video games.

This is hard. ._.

Some of the romance scenes in DA2 managed to creep the hell outa me. Some of the romance scenes in Origins I thought were snore fests.

I guess I'll go with Origins. At least I was able to catch up on some sleep. I'd put 'giving Morrigan the golden mirror while in romance' up with Merril's rivalmance 'please don't save me' scene... but... Anders' creepiness. There's nothing like that in Origins.

DA2's were better than DAO's, but neither can really compare to ME1.

Exactly!

I too was a champ and got through it. At some point was dreading to visit Hawke's own house, because Anders was always standing by that railing, looking down at you, never saying much, and still putting letters all over the house while you are gone.

The DA2 scenes were cut a little to early to cater to the great demon of Prude, so DAO wins in my book. With that said, I think they are fairly weak and far too few in both games.

To be honest, I'm not that interested in the 'romance scenes'. I like dialogue. Dialogue is good.

But if I were to choose, it would be neither. DAO's felt clunky and awkward, whilst DA2's felt less awkward but were short and effectively kiss scenes that faded to black. ME1's romance scenes were the best I've seen.

DA2 in all honestly because they actually make sense, unlike the sex in pants that DA:O offered.

BW romance scenes on the whole do seem to be better than those in other RPGs, because they are based on a relationship, make you feel a more intimate connection with the LI, and sex is not portrayed in a fetishized way which make you drool over private parts. So I'm really confused over BW's reluctance to show any nudity at all. Compared with romance scenes in other games, DA scenes are really tame.

Like compare sex in DA with this from the upcoming TW2:

I wonder if Projeckt CD is going to get any beef from FOX news over its scenes.
