Now I know that some places like Game Stop buy and sell used games. This wouldn't by chance be one of the pre owned onces would it? If so that could be your whole problem.

I have exactly the same problem, I just bought the game, registered it on the website no problem, installed it no problem, and when I try to run it... "We could not activate Dragon Age II on this computer..."
Please some help would be nice, since I can see DA2 registered on my profile, I guess this is some kind of communication problem between the game client and the user database. It's annoying as hell.

Another one of the MANY broken features of this horrible, horrible launch.
Welcome to the club, stay tuned for patch 1.03 and see if it gets fixed.
When is 1.03 coming out? your guess is as good as mine since there is little to no communication with us.

The fact that you have the game registered to the Bioware account as showed by the forums means you are doing something wrong/trying to scam.

Nah not doing something wrong at all i have been in contact with customer support and it turns out that the key i have was allready in use by another email addy, i had to scan my reciept, game manual and promor codes and send them in so that they could fix the problem.... I have never scammed any game to date. Somhow someone got the cd key i had and in turn they resealed the box it would seem, anyway have yet to hear back from them yet hopefully they fix the problem soon and i can start playin

I was able to activate my game without registering on the web. Later on I registered on the web so that I can post in the forum. It seemed like 2 separate process, so I wouldn't be surprise if 2 different way of registering can claim the same key.
