So, I forgot an important rule about being a blood mage... improved blood magic gear doesn't stack. :'( So I'm a little... confused about what to wear now! Especially when it comes to shoes. Shoes and fine cheeses, which you don't wear, but you COULD wear it, cheez whiz in the hair... make for a nice mousse...
Insanity aside, this is what I'm currently using.
Staff of the Magister Lord
First Enchanter's Cowl
Charged Mitts
Tevinter Bloodbath
Fade Striders
Sash of Forbidden Secrets
The Spellward
Blood Ring
Lifegiver
Any tips or suggestions? Anything I should get rid of? Er... the boots and gloves, I'm just wearing them cause I haven't really found anything better...

Lifegiver and Blood Ring are all you need if you want to be an effective blood mage, in my opinion.
Considering Lifegiver gives you... well... life and Blood Ring er... prevents you from using too much blood. You can switch the boots for something like Imperial Weavers (I think that's what it is called) from Bodahn. Gives you a 10% chance to dodge attacks and pretty cheap--costing only a sovereign and a bit more. For robes, I don't know... if you're able to save up, you can get the Reaper's Vestments from Something something Wonders store in Denerim. Gives you more health.
Other than that, you got a lot of good items, in my opinion.
Edit: After looking up Sash of Forbidden Secrets seems like you can replace the blood ring!
But, to what, I wonder... hmmm...
Getting the Ring of Ages is a good one (hope you're good at getting money--I know I'm not) from the Wonders of Something store.
