9.0 - For DA1 - A dark gripping, vast world worthy of multiple playthroughs and much choice / consequence- marred only slightly by some bad inventory management and some too long / too dull quests but the sum is greater than its parts.

DA II: 8.5
There is no such thing as a perfect game, IMHO, but I very much enjoyed the many play throughs I have made with DAO.
DA II, however, is a very different game and sometimes feels like a cross between the typical Medieval RPG and a Sci-Fi/Fantasy shooter in some ways.
In the end, however, DA II is a fantasy RPG and mostly adheres to the the game rules established in Origins, but also has similarities to ME 2, which I consider a Sci-Fi shooter with RPG elements.
DA II is not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, and I will comtinue play it again and again, just as I have done with Origins, although I feel Origins more comfortable as an RPG.
As a matter of perspective, however, I have also played through ME 2 a couple of times, which is, in a nutshell, a shooter with RPG elements. DA II cannot be compared to such a game as ME 2, even given the similarities of the two games. While combat in DAII is faster, and a bit overly done, it still cannot be compared to a shooter, despite what some folks would try to claim.

DA2 - right now about 7.5, played it once, but the jury is still out. Waiting for 1.03 patch.

DA2 = 7/10
Origins set the bar at a new level for RPGs, and in many respects, is considered genre defining for its choice/consequence driven story arc. DA2, while it did have some noted improvements, fell far below the bar set by Origins in terms of quality, story, and content.
(I'm not including DLC in those ratings.)

DA2 6
Only reason I didn't rate DAO a 10 was for the tedium of the Fade section.

DAO- 9
DA2- 9
Now i will test the replay with an imported game from DAO.
Bioware continues to impress and i look forward to more tales from the world of Dragon Age.

DA2 : 6.5 but I still rate it higher than ME2 as a sequel. Its not a bad game just nowhere near as good as the original.

Great game, but some parts became tedious, way too tedious.
DA2 - 7.5
Good game, but the main aspects of it were handled horribly. The story was disjointed, the acts were jarring, Kirkwall was bare. I have to say, the family aspect was the biggest disappointment. Nowhere near enough emphasis on family, the only one i ended up caring about was Bethany, and thats only if she survives until the end.
But, it's still better than anything out there at the moment. I wouldn't be nearly as harsh on the game if it wasn't BW who made it, because i know they can do much better.

An excellent game. I had no problems with this game at all. Loved the story, the cast and the gameplay. It was extremely well paced and had a fantastic epilogue. The only reason why it wasn't a 10 was because of some technical issues. I've played through twice and actuallyintend to play through again after my current Mass Effect run!
DA2 - 7.0
A good game. I wasn't impressed though. The whole game felt pretty stale. I didn't feel attached to the story at any point. The companions were quite good, but too rigid in terms of gameplay (Aveline IS a sword and shield tank, Fenris IS a two handed weapon nuker etc.). Combat was more responsive, but looked ridiculous and tactics were pointless with the wave approach to every single battle. I will not be playing through again.
As disappointed as I was with DA2, I really do hope a DA3 is made. But I know I'd much rather it be more like DAO than DA2.

21 complete play through's and still going, dispite the progressively lower quality of the DLC. Buggy? Sometimes... but the story and companion interation can easily keep my interest.
DA:2 - 6.5
One and a half plays... and I probably won't finish the 2nd one. Nothing to keep my interest a second time. Went back to Origins.

The story was captivating, no matter how many times i played it. The combat was not a problem for me, it was actually a nice break from other RPGs ( like Fable, or Japanese RPGs). The only problem i had with it was that i had it on the console, since my PC is ancient and would probably break down the moment i got the game for PC. While some people complained that the console version was not as good as the PC version, the only problem i had with the console version was (and this might sound weird) the number of battle shortcuts you had (that's what i call them, the mapping buttons [X,Y,B]). Always had one or more good talents/spells that were stuffed away in the radial menu, which i don't really look into unless it is a particularly hard fight. This got worse with the DLC, when they introduced even more talents/spells and specs.
DA:2 - 8.5 or 9 or something in between
As it happens, I am a sucker for any story that intrigues even a little. DA:2 happened to catch my interest. When i played it, i saw that it was a good game, but not as good as its predecessor (not sure if thats spelled right, but i like to use fancy words...). The combat suited my taste a little bit more, as I usually plan without pause. The fact that companion armor could not be changed was a let down, but only for the characters that i wanted to change. The no auto-attack thing threw me off a little, but since i happen to be a fan of the Dynasty Warriors series, i got used to it quickly. A noticable plus was the amount of talents/spells they made. While less varied than in origins, they could be made stronger and used more often and that was something i agreed with since it meant most of my talents/spells could be mapped. Nothing else comes to mind about the features, but im sure more of them could have (subconsciously) affected what i said. Also, 1 (or maybe even 2) of those points came from the presence of who i consider the most underappreciated bioware character, Carver Hawke. Heres to you, my (snarky, yet extremely likeable) little brother, and hoping against all odds that your GW variant can be a party member for DA:3 (sorry, i just had to include that).
P.S.- Sorry for the irregularly long post, but i lost track of how long i was typing and just noticed how much i typed...

It feels nothing like a sci-/fantasy shooter to me, unless you think rapid firing arrows constitutes sci-fi shooter elements. Now, if crossbows or bows somehow shot off lasers inbetween bolts and arrows, well........
In the end, however, DA II is a fantasy RPG and mostly adheres to the the game rules established in Origins, but also has similarities to ME 2, which I consider a Sci-Fi shooter with RPG elements.
.
IMO, it doesn't come close to adhering to any rules Origins held. Origins could be considered DnD gameplay style in the effect of the role playing schemes. DA2 offers none of that. I cannot change plots during the game, everything is already determined. I cannot shape the world around me. My answers I choose (many times not what I expected) with my companions doesn't change how they look at me, only how they talk to me. If I rival someone, they are still my loyal friend, if I friend the same person, they are still my loyal friend as just one example. Simply changing the tones of the conversations is not role playing IMO. How they react to and view my actions is..
