On a scale of 1 to 10, how do you rate DA2?

the story is amazingly captivating, well structured and intriguing. among rpgs, it is among some of the only games i have been able to play several times.
DA.2:- 7
i love the new combat system, and the people are really cleaned up in terms of looks. the story is interesting, and i love the companions. the big flaws however are how bland and repetitive the environment is. it feels like everytime i enter a different cave its the exact same cave im in, same thing with alleyways and such. although i do think the armor, particularily rogue and mage armor look some much better than origins (i care about appearances of my characters while i play). still, it couldve been better

DA:2 11/10 cause I really find it hilarious that people hate this game so much that they are still in the da2 forums what about two months later just to hate more. Please go away haters I'm sure bioware has learned their lessons and just come out with the same crap year after year and not try to innovated at all, hey it'll probably be like the cod series or madden.

People have all the rights to discuss the game with both positive and negative feedback as long as they follow rules so chill the hell out.

Gameplay was also alright, could be better but a lot faster (for the better) than origins. No tactical view though =(

Only reason I didn't rate DAO a 10 was for the tedium of the Fade section.
I don't think it'd be fair to drop a point for something being tedious. I mean really, unless it was tedious the first two play throughs - it shouldn't be factored in rating the game.
I thought the fade was fine the first through play-throughs but did find it annoying to go through after that.
DA: O - 9.0 - there were some bugs but overall it was a pretty great game. The codex's and story-line had drawn me in the first few minutes of playing. I knocked off .5 for bugs/glitches and another .5 for the expansion pack which I thought was a horrible addition to the pace/style of origins.
Note: Though I'm not huge on replaying the game using different classes (for any game really) - I was actually disappointed when I went through the orgin story of the male-warrior (Human) and had found that I was 'forced' to join the Grey Wardens by Ducan's orders. When I was a mage I had found Duncan to be an interesting character but from the perspective of the Human-warrior (and heir) I was pissed off and I couldn't bring myself to go through the entire game again.
DA:2 - 6.9 - Some of the elements that were retained pretty much is the only saving grace for this title. I actually had it a 7 in an early rating (for pity sake) that I posted but after going back to it again I felt that a seven was too high. Kirkwall is a horrible city to construct a story around, esp. if it is the ONLY city you visit. It's lifeless (more like a ghost town then anything). The story was disjointed and many of the quests seemed pointless (even more so early on).
I refused to even play through the entire game. That's how bad I thought the game was. I'm so glad that I did not waste 60 bucks on this after I had bought Awakening (bad expansion) and a dumbed down ME2 (luckily it still was an enjoyable game.)

A single playthrough of DA2 is like 3 playthroughs.
Yep, pretty much.
That's why I write DA2 lacks replayability because in one single playthrough you already visit ten times -at least- each dungeon.
You really have to be a tad masochistic to pull yourself through on a second, or further, playthroughs.

DA 2 = 6 ( it had potential )
Why?
1. Recycled - copy - paste - maps
2. Armor restriction Hawke
3. Many Lores and Plot Holes
4. Swarm of enemies spawning from THIN air
5. Your choice does not matter.
DA O = 8
I agree for the reasons why. DA2 = 6 (yes it had potential)
DAO = 9

lol with CoD i think the motto is "if it aint broke, don't fix it" while i don't play it my friends that do want the ability to kill each other (already got) in new places (what they usually add in) in new ways/teams.

I enjoyed 2 a lot. The change at first was strange but im over that now. There is great potential for some good story dlc and tweaks would bump the score up easily.

DA2 3 out of 10
DA2 weighed entirely on it's own and not taking into account that it's a sequel to Origins 5 out of 10

Why Torchlight could has a nice score (8 or more everywhere), DA2 cannot?

I think DA2 is better than for example Torchlight (has a story, better graphic, more character, less repetitive...)

Torchlight doesn't try to be the same game that DA 2 tries to be.

Da2 - 4
A jerky animation of fight consisting of several movements, where weapon does not even touch enemies' bodies. No more picturesque final strikes like cutting off heads and so on.We fight like in anime, jumping 10 meters high with a sword of incredible size.
Enemies are just blowing up,one can never see here a clever and beautiful murder or colourable death. Is that cool?
We can see only the same tunnellike locations. The dialog wheel is boring.
Instead of dark fantasy the game turned into some nonsense.
Systems of skills and crafts are cut.The console interface is inconvenient. There is no tactical mode.
The crowds of enemies are just falling down from the sky! Maybe we should make DA3 in avi format to make it completely easy for everyone?
No oppotunity to change companions' appearances.Silly quests like find a box with its host's name, give it back take money and be gone. What in Andraste's name is this all?We can't speak with companions at any moment only according to some goddamn schedule.
Ten years ago games wasn't so primitive. Why are they so simplified now?
OMG Fenris and Anders love males??Are you serious??(ARE YOU DAMN CRASY???)
Dragon age is an RPG at last! Why,for what have they made it so dreadfully simple??Maker save us...
sorry for my bad english..

Yeah, kind of baffles me when people claim it is. Did anyone seriously enjoy the Fade / Deep Roads?
