Dao was a 9.5 at least, but Da2 was such a disapointment. In terms of quality it was 3 step to the left 5 backwards and a leap into a pit of acid. I give it a 7 because of what it is being compared to.

The story is subjective, some prefer grand epic stories which is inline with DAO, while others prefer the more personal type of stories aka DA2. Neither are better just different. I hate personal stories myself after giving DA2 a try to see what make of it. Learned I hate framed narrative approach and personal story. DAO is like akin to LOTR while DA2 is a soap opera or documentary it did try to be Gladiator but failed imho given its huge plot hole gaps and time skips aswell as disjointed nature..

Yes I did as did many of people here, it was what it was supposed to be, a vast underground network of tunnels inhabited by darkspawn hence thats where they come from during blights. Therefore it did it's job fine being a large area of importance to the story and being underground in appearence with darkspwn inside the tunnels. It felt how it was supposed to feel and if your in the mindset of placing yourself in character for the game it shouldn't make much difference as if you only replay to experience a tiny fraction of a game and skip the rest you end up better off watching youtube videos. The same could be said for the fade and the ability to shapeshift inside it made it even more enjoyable imho.

This^ Dragon you did it again. And yes Pres Cowboy, I did enjoy the Fade (even if I felt lonely with no companions) and I did love/hate (they were creepy and scarey so I loved to hate them, they were that good) the Deep Roads.

Here's a thought...drop the condescending tone and provide links. Since you're the one claiming that such  vitriole happened with DAO like DA2, then the onus falls on you to support your claims, not the other way around.

I did. Though I'm probably in the minority. I'm also a completionist as well so that may explain why I like to plod through long quests for even a minor reward.

I don't need to check the history.  I was here.

There were no huge threads or rants on any particular 'big' issues, certainly nothing that touches the countless criticisms (and related huge threads and debates) that are still ongoing regarding DA2.

So unless you provide a link to a thread about something in DAO analogous to, say... the complaints about DA2 re-using maps...
...or DA2's "spazzy anime, exploding bodies" combat that many don't like...
...or DA2's disjointed storyline...
...or errand-running, trivial quests...
...or DA2's 'cartoonish' art design...
...or any other number of points of contention that many big threads are made of...

...then you are the "liar."  Or at the very least, making statements you can't back up.



(ps.  I'm not talking about some particular problem to a particular platform; some problem of say, the Xbox version, is just that; limited to that platform, unlike the DA2 issues that are issues across all platforms)

But its ok to rate DAII more then DA:O right?
More of this threads should be made for Bioware to realize how much they downgraded and streamlined their game and stabed their fans in the back.

The majority of people who rated, not everybody. As much as I fkn hate it I wouldn't call it a fail. Unworthy sequel yeah, but not fail.

Daikatana was fail.
Catwoman was fail.
Fifth element was a fail.
Bad Boys was fail.
Charlie's angels was fail.
Red Steel was fail.
Far Cry: vengeance
Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness was fail.
Stalin vs martians was fal

The guy claimed that everybody in this thread rates DA1 higher than DA2. That is blatantly false.

There's nothing wrong with rtaing eithe rhigher than the other though it should be noted that i fall in neither camp. R00fles!

perhaps im wrong, i mean, i liked more ME2 than ME, and many people would dissagree, but i cant imagining people saying DA2 is way better than DAO, o0 , once again i maybe be wrong. Its all least my opinion

For me, DA2 is a solid 6. It should be noted however, that unlike gaming publications of today, my 'butt average game' score is 5, rather than 7.5.

So, DA2 comes in as a little above average. Probably worth a look if you're a large fan of DA in general. If you aren't, certainly won't convince you to get into RPGs, and will probably frustrate you more than anything else.

You played it at least until the end?
The story is so linear that ends the same way you choose what you choose
and the story of DAO at least has severals endings!!!
The characters in both games are good not the bestsssss but good enough.

I like more DAO than DA2 and im not a fanboy... and everyone will feel the same.
People who think DA2 is better than DAO are fanboys of bioware xD

DAO its a good game not perfect but good enough to beat DA2
DA2 won the award for worst sequel ever made
