I don't know whether these angsty teens are thinking they are making much of a difference, you know posting a few threads that will get removed, copy pasting everything I and others say into /v/ to have a good old circlejerk with two or three people and calling anyone who has a different view on all of this /b/ tripe a biodrone, while spouting UMAD OVER 9000 EPIC FOR THE WIN /V/ROS over an over again but I say we let them run around like headless chickens until school is back in.

I'd rate DAO 9.5/10 with fractional digits and 10/10 without.
I couldn't get enough of it and spend every free minute with it at first!

DA2 would get a 4.5/10 (4/10),
I played it when I had time and laid it aside when I hade it trough.
Couldn't even complete a second playthrough yet.

Made even Creative ASSemblys Empire:TW look like a well spent money which I preordered too. CA hasn't seen any money from me since, though I bought quite each of their games before ;)

Subjectively: 3.5 (the story, while having SEVERAL problems and lack of direction, was still fairly enjoyable for me, the combat was fun....at first, some characters like the Arishok or Varric where entertaining, and the game does a good value despite being relatively short in comparison to other games, but it will last you a little while.
that's it
seriously
that's all i liked)
Objectively: 7-6.5 ( the game just didn't appeal to me, but i would say is a good game that i don't like, but quite honestly i hope DA3 finds a little middle ground Between Origins and DA2, but a little more towards the Origins side, despite what the haters of haters(the ones who hate the haters, and even goes as far as calling others who were simply disappointed haters too) say, the fact is that too many people where disappointed for everything to stay the same way, or EVERYTHING going back to Origins, completely, that won't work either, i mean, what would that mean coming from BioWare? that the ones who prefer Origins(myself included) don't matter, and if they go back to Origins completely, it would be like BioWare saying that those who preferred DA2 don't matter either, now i know that the vast majority is probably the one who preferred Origins, but the vast majority of them also liked DA2, so choosing a Origins style over DA2's is more than likely the way to go, but completely ignoring the ones who liked DA2 more would be very back stabbing)

Nope. One ending. Archdemon is killed. Game over.

"People who think DA2 is better than DAO are fanboys of bioware xD"

O RLY? You do realzie that both DA1 and DA2 are BIO games right? So.. you are claiming preferring one BIO game over another makes you a BIO fanboy? That doesn't even make sense.

wow, you like to troll do ya?

"Nope, one ending, archdemon killed, game over"

there are so many things wrong with that sentence....

ok, first of all, you don't know what an ending is.

an ending serves as a way to conclude a story arc and tell what happened to the chracters on a story, in that sense, DAO had multiple endings, it tells what happened to your character, what happened to your companions, and how did you influenced the world, by your logic then nothing has multiple endings.
DA2 did not even had a bloody ending, it just ends.

also, you thing DA2 story was better and characters?

i don't like to make fun of peoples opinion but since you're a troll:

LOLOLLOLOLOL.

DAO story and character > DA2 story and character

not gonna say anything else to you.

Well said, that describes an ending very well.

Why, Thank You! ^_^..............................................
that's not sarcasm is it? i can't tell if it's Sarcasm :crying:

DA:O- 9/10
replays- 9/10

DA2 first playthrough- 7
DA2 2-8 playthroughs- 5 and that is my official rating 5.

DA2 was under developed, badly written, and had some decent things but not enough to warrant any replay value. Unless they stop and seriously reconsider grabbing the CoD crowd it is not a wise idea and trying to get them to try it out is just a waste of time.

DAO: 7 - Generic story and characters. Saw where the plot was going an hour into the game. Riddled with bugs. Load times of up to a minute. Bland design. I like the sound effects and music.

DA2: 8 - Improved writing. Better story and characters. The biggest problem is that a seven year story arc is good in theory, but they actually had to work with that and they didn't. Characters don't age and the city doesn't evolve. Still, the positive outweighs the negative. Because of its originality compared to Origins, which is just LotR Lite, I think it's a better game. Flawed, no doubt, but Origins had many more flaws. People seem to forget that.

DA2: 6 on the same scale.

DA:O 9
DA 2 7

Mainly because the combat is way too fast for a party based game, its like playing Guild Wars at 2x speed, and far too many recycled areas. I am guessing they did this to keep it down to one dvd and develop the game faster, but it hurt the game too much imo.

DA:O 9/10 one of the better RPG's ive played

DA2: 3 couldnt enjoy it for a large list of reasons but basically i didnt care was the biggest. I didnt care about my companions they were a bit spineless. In one of my DA:O playthroughs the end was pretty difficult because by the time i got to the archdemon i had only a few party members left due to them objecting to the way i handled myself and trying to stop me. Here the party just seemed to go with whatever i wanted no matter how scummy i was being. And although the mages v templars stuff was good in origins kirkwall just played it up too much. oh the templars are the bad guys and the poor mages are the good guys except 9 out of 10 mages are demons...sigh.

I rate dragon age 2 so low because it was a great idea for a game executed in a ****** poor manner, a case of "i see what you're trying to do here" its mostly down to dissapointment. all the tools for a good plot and game are there but it was just mucked up. Loved the new look of the quanari, hated the new rocky dennis elves.

DA:O - 10/10, my favorite game of all time. I got so much replay value out of the game, with around 30 full playthroughs on both 360 and PC. My wife estimated that I sunk about 700 hours into the game.

DA2 - 6.5/10, Storytelling was spot on with the framed narrative. My gripes right now (could change) are that it is much shorter in comparison to DA:O, even with the DLC so far in DA2. If more DLC is released that adds substantially to the story, I will be happy to correct my statement. Also, the action combat changes are not great. I liked the new research tree and graphics. The new direction in art was acceptable; It was pretty, though the color pallet was a bit bland. The habitual reusing of environments got very old fast. I hated going into dungeons after awhile because it was so predictable. As for replay value, I played through it three times for the sake of getting 100% on the achievements in the first three weeks of it's release and haven't picked it back up since. I'll happily buy new DLC as soon as I can to get some more gameplay out of it.

Dragon Age: Origins - 9/10
- Really is an amazing game. Die hard fan of Balder's Gate was so happy playing this. Replayed it probably about 10 times, never getting bored of the characters, setting and the lore of the world. Combat was enjoyable to me at least, and I loved the diversity of all the skills.

Dragon Age 2 - 4/10
-sigh-, dissapointment. That's the one word I can use to describe how I felt about 2. The story was awful compared to the original's epic. The reused areas, the silly fast combat with people exploding in succession, broken quests, characters that are impossible to like, characters that are just bad in general. THE DLC. THE FREAKING DLC. This angers me to no end, and it's my own fault for falling for this crap and pre-ordering the game. Biggest mistake in regards to gaming. The quality and love from Origins was simply just not put into Dragon Age 2 and was rushed to market to make money. On it's own if there was never Dragon Age: Origins it still still a lacking, subpar title that was rushed.

DA:O 9.5/10, one of the most immersive games I have ever played, and I still play it.
DA2: 3/10. I was bored throughout my first playthrough, and didn't even finish my second one. Uninstalled it.

10=excellent
5=average
1=very bad

DA:O 9/10
The core game is fantastic.. Great characters.. interesting world.. and a some what "used" plot done pretty well.. Combat wasn't too difficult or exciting.. and was a weakness to the game. The DLC for the most part was "meh".. Witch Hunt left more questions than answers.. With mods however I would give this game a 10/10..

DA:O -- Awakening 5/10
Awakening wasn't very interesting.. however I did like the scenes where you are "ruling". Added some interesting ideas and characters.. although  I didn't really feel that connected or interested in the plot.. the combat was very bad(broken overpowered).

DA:2 6/10
The combat seemed like barely an upgrade on the PC.. it still isn't that engaging.. and it seems like they tried to impress to much with the over the top bodies exploding from a dagger and blood everywhere.. I felt the characters where fairly well done.. Kirkwall and the story needed lots of work(you could tell it was rushed).. Act 3 was a mess.. I'm still upset about how poorly done it was..

DAO: 9.5/10. One of the best RPGs ever created. Engaging and plays well. Memorable characters.

DA2: 7/10. Lack of a cohesive narrative, despite better writing and dialogue. Ten-year cycle was poorly implemented. Characters were less memorable as a whole. Overused locations destroyed suspension of disbelief. But still not a good game. It just wasn't "BioWare good."
