Or maybe I really care about the Resteraunt?    The thing is, I used to LOVE the restauraint.  I've eaten there for 10 years,  and all their food and service used to be the best.   But now they seem to be serving crap.  And I'm here to find out what the hell happened.  New management maybe?

Or, as I have experienced more than once IRL, they changed chefs.  The new chef has a different recipe for your erstwhile favorite dish.  You order your favorite and get...something else.  It's not horrible or inedible, just not as tasty or fulfilling.  The ingredients have changed.  You leave with a feeling of disappointment and regret, perhaps never to visit that particular restaurant again.  And you are certainly going to tell your friends who also patronise that establishment that you feel it has changed for the worse.

And very nice analogy. ^

Yeah because there is no difference in the way a baby will scream and cry, and people calling out the dragon age 2 team on the flaws of the game, and I stated earlier, that if you dig deep enough one can accuse anybody complaining of whining, so I simply dismiss posters who go right for the stop whining you crybaby argument, I'm sure at no point in your adult life you have ever whined about doing something you did not want to do, you must be a mute

And the whining about others' whining is just as annoying and babyish. There are positive threads, I was just on one. If the whining as you call it is not to your liking, then why are you reading this thread? Something about it must appeal to you all who keep on harping on others' harping.

Oh I don't mind whining at all. I was merely informing Maxi over there that his whining isn't the most effective way of getting his asinine point across. I personally find most of the vitriol spewed out on these forums to be quite hilarious. However, if someone like Mr. Restaurant Analogy Man over there is legitimately attempting to guide Bioware toward making DA 3 more like Origins, he is better off with constructive criticism than with the absolute garbage that is toss around so often here.

And for my own amusement, I just noticed that over the last page and a half, I've managed to spell "restaurant" 5 different ways. lol

Ah gotcha! Thanks for clarifying.  Though I really should have directed my post at Hoorayforicecream and friend. So, I owe you an apology sir, or madame, as the case may be.

You were born a few hundred years too late, my friend.  Oh, for the days of Shakespeare, when spelling was "roll your own". :)

Sir. I would have thought the goatee would have given it away. Though, it maybe my fault as well. For some reason, Maxi makes me more antagonistic than I need be.

Edit: See? It is like he's just asking people to hate on him. The least he could do is make his crapfest responses actually humorous. Instead, all we get is bitter rage. He's a sad, angry little man.

We're just upholding the fine traditions of British parliamentary debate.

"You, sir, will die on the gallows or of the pox!"

"That would depend, sir, on whether I embrace your principles or your mistress!"

And may I say what a dashing goatee it is?  I just didn't want to assume. My husband likes playing female characters as well as males. And plenty of my female gaming friends play male characters.  I am not one, I prefer staying a girl. ROFL. *shrugs*

Well, I am sure we all have people on the forum who get under our skins more than they should. I try not to, but I wouldnt' doubt I may be one of them to someone.

Just remember boys, play nice! You have been so far.

Don't I know it. My best friend prefers to play as girls in games were he has a choice. Though, he does it because he doesn't like staring at a guy's butt the whole game, so...Take that as you will. I tend to RP when I play RPGs, so playing as a girl never felt right to me.

Just for you Zani, a complaint with as little whining as possible.
I did not like the reuse of areas, I normally don't mind if they reuse a map once or twice but this was way too much for my taste, and yes I am very lenient on map reuse if done correctly.
I did not enjoy the lack of plot changing choices, I have played multiple playthroughs and the end result is always the same, not so with origins or both mass effect titles.
I did not like how they implemented waves of enemies dropping from knee braking heights, this could have easily been avoided with the use of doors only enemies could use.
I do not enjoy being insulted by devs for not "getting" their game, I got it I just did not like it.
I do not like the bashing of origins to promote it's less popular sequel.
I do not like how they marketed one game yet sold us another.
There that was all complaint with little to no whining, but of course one can try to interpret my post as merely another whine

Well spoken; much better. I still disagree with all the ponts past repetative areas, but realize my POV is not any more valuable than theirs.

And perhaps one day we shall persuade you to turn back to the good side of the Force! Image IPB

Thank you. Now I shall address your complaints as that is one of the purposes of this forum.

1. I agree. Maps were reused far too often. However, I understand the reasoning behind their reuse. Still, it is a flaw.
2. Choices could have been handled better, yes. Though, I don't feel that Origins handled this much better. Personally, I feel that Bioware should do away with save game transfers in order to allow greater differentiation within a single game. Having to account for past choice in future games limits the amount of choice that Bioware can reasonably include.
3. I enjoyed the wave mechanic; however, I do feel that spawning could have been handled batter in certain areas and that it was overly used.
4. I haven't felt insulted by anything the devs have said, so I believe that to be a personal issue with you and certain others.
5. "Bashing" of the predecessor is a common marketing tactic. You don't have to like it.
6. I don't feel that they lied to me with their marketing. As such, I believe it to once again be a personal issue.

SNORT! That was my husband's reason for playing girls. He doesn't want to look at guy butt. I wonder how many male gamers do that for that reason?

The loss of game transfer would be the last nail in the coffin for the franchise. Then Bioware would have taken the step in full and reduced DA to a brand name for a generic product, instead of building on a great story that began with Origins, expanded with the DA:O dlc's and sadly took a deroute in DA2, but hopefully will come back in full force with DA3.

In Origins you got to choose between different background stories. I do not see why carryover is any different.
