This is the one I'm using. I think it looks good; even better as a Renegade.
I didn't make him, BTW. Got it from Mass Effect 2 Faces.

My best advice is to start with one of the defaults and then alter things from there.

John Shepard, Soldier, Spacer, Ruthless.
I actually think he's pretty hot lol. I did have to restart ME2 twice to fix the fierce sharp cheekbones LMFAO!

I like the first one most, he's pretty interesting looking.Babli wrote...
These are my imo good loking MaleSheps. Third was created to look like a nerd so he has no place here

I didn't have any problems creating a good looking fem-shep though. And a lot of other custom fem-shep designs turn out really nice as well. Although, they could also use a couple of more hairstyles imo.

This shep looks close to mine, same mustach (epic really), but my shep has a softer look to him. I'll post it once I'm on my compShepardsAssassin wrote...
Yes, it´s possible.
Personally my best looking Shep.

That's a very awesome face.
At first glance, it doesn't even look like it's from Mass Effect.

This is probably the only good looking male Shepard I've come across (not mine).
I'd use that code for my shep... but he looks like my cousin, and playing as your cousin would be weird.

You need to be a freaking artist to make a decent looking man-shep. It's like every time I try, he comes out looking like a defunct insomniac. Felt like my college years before I switched out of the Graphic Design course...
Too bad ya can't use the default shep's face and work your way from there. : was disappointed when I couldn't.
True enough, once I tried making a manshep that looked like me and instead I end up with a middle aged asian looking guy with a weird chin.
Much better looking than mine... Mine looked like a cross between Marty Feldman and Dr. House

See this:

It's my last Shepard. Sorry for the low quality. I play in a SDTV and it was taken with a cellular phone.
I edited the color scheme using Photoshop, but the rest I didn't alter.

My reaction:

It's possible, you just need time.
Generally with Custom Sheps it's all about the situation. This Shep is my favorite. There are a few situations in which he has an absolute rape face.

There are other places where he looks rather... strange.

But that is generally the curse of the custom shep. Just give it some time, I'm sure you'll come up with something.

It is a pain, and if I can get decent lighting I'll post the custom Shep I've used the most.
Edit: well here's one pic I've tried to take with my darn hardware.
Darn 360 though and the camera date was not programmed. <_<
lol...he looks almost exactly like mine, except mine was created in ME1 and imported to ME2. On first glimpse I was thinking, "how the hell did you get a pic of my Shep?!"
