Greetings to thee, as part of a college project we must create an advert using 3D animation, so wedecided to spoof a rock star game, but i need to do some Audience research, so what better place to find my audience than here! Its only short so please answer as well as you can.

9. Yes i did, i love sandbox games. The freedom to do whatever you want.

11. Yes, i think the brand is so strong that every gamer be it casual or hardcore knowns the gameseries and will later on spread the news of a new GTA game or expansion to his/her friends. Who then will spread the news forwards to their friends and like ripples in a pond one 10s commercial spot has turned into a wildfire.

11. Not for me at least. The story in those games is mostly not my kind of thing, though I did like GTA IV's. The commercials are pretty much the same each time.

9. Immensely, at the time it was head and shoulders above it's competitor (NFS) in terms of style, "story", and gameplay

11. I'm not their target market but I imagine they work well with those who are, speaking to them in an appealing, cinematic sort of fashion.

Yes.  If I had been interested in the game, I saw the advert. enough that it stayed in my memory.  So, good ad placement and repetition, I guess.

Sure, you run around massacring innocent people, whats not to love?(To clarify, GTA3  and GTA San Adreas were both quite good. However, GTA4 was EXTREMELY buggy when it shipped, and rather unfun)

Yes, the new one for "The Ballad of Gay Toney"

Not really, mostly because I have played GTA4 and know it to be a soggy pile of bugg filled crap.

Yes. They were pretty well-made games where you get to interact in a sandbox environment to do what you wish. A lot of the characteristics introduced were pretty deep and engaging. The games also prioritized fun gameplay once.

No.

If so did you think it was an effective advert? Why?
I think the best advertisement for the Grand Theft Auto is that the games speak for themselves. They never failed to draw attention to themselves even in my country when they were fairly unknown.
