I'm making a Dual Wield Warrior and I thought it'd be cool to have a topic where people could discuss their character and post their builds.

Me, I'm going evenly between strength and dexterity up until dexterity hits 36, then I'll probably stick with strength then on. Character is a human and wears medium armour usually and will specialise in Berserker and another unspecified specialisation.

What about you? :)

Edit: Here is a poll of mine about which is the best Dual Wielder.

I haven't really used Dual Wield at all before but am thinking about it on my next play through.

Is it possible at some point to actually have two longswords/axes/maces etc. ?

Because I only noticed you can have one + a dagger. I've seen enemies dual wielding two heavier weapons so I was just wondering.

yes the last talent lets  you use a longsword etc, in your off hand
lvl 12 iirc

Mind you I hear that there is a bug where your not getting all your damage from using a dagger, so I would just wait till it gets patched.  I think there is a mod in development as well.

I also had a dual-wielder human at my first playthrough Went with the 36 dex (a little more after that) and the rest of strength. And having a longsword in each hand looks really cool Image IPB

Sweet, I'll be doing that when I make my next character. Thanks for the info. Double axes sounds too good to pass up. Thanks for the info.

I just started a DW warrior myself. Going full on dex and daggers with it though. Using the community hotfix to get the proper dagger damage bonuses of course.

At endgame my Dual wield warrior was using the meteor sword mainhand, and I forget what offhand but it was also 11.20 dps. Went to 36 dex, rest STR like others are mentioning, champ maxed and zerker. Stamina was a non issue at endgame. The damage was insane... I cant imagine anyone else out damaging him, other than maybe a mage stacking blizzard/tempest/inferno or whatever... but even then, straight up singlet target damage was off the charts.

Overpower is also quite serious.

My first play through was an Elf DW Warrior. It was a great experience. In the Dwarf area there is a vendor with a sweet, but expensive dagger that really makes the build shine.

My dual wield warrior is a beast compared to my Archer and other characters. Easily my favorite so far.

Dual wield warrior is easilly the best type of warrior you can make, and the fact that he can tank whilst doing more damage than anyone else in your party hands down makes it incredibly powerful. Possibly one of the most powerful builds in the game.

I used the respec mod and changed Oghren to a dual wield templar berserker, and he's doing pretty well. I have him using dual axes, Bloodline and Aodh. He makes short work of about anything and hasn't died yet that I can remember.

Once you get Dual Wield Mastery to wield two full sized weapons to contribute more from your strength, you should do pretty well from then on, since tanks use heavy / massive armor, which demands high strength.

I don't know about that... Their dps and survival is awesome, but with my recent s/s spec I've been able to solo the game with just my PC, including Broodmother, High Dragon, Gaxxkang so on...

I honestly didn't think using a good shield / shield mastering spec would make that big a difference on defense, but christ, once I got Lifegiver/ Spellward and finished all my points in the Shield tree, I regen more than most bosses hit me for, and have way too much beef to lose more than 10% hp.

I'm planning to make a DW warrior, considering the human noble origins (with not so noblish attitude).

edit: Nevermind, just checked the attribute requirements.

Alright, not read too deep into every's comment here, but I also feel I want to add some fuel into the... spark? Well as soon as I saw Duncan whipping ogre ass I felt that a sign was shown to me. A sign of which some beardy guy high (reallyyyy high) in the clouds showed to me personally.

Dual-wield = Win :D... the vision said!

But anyhow, each build in the warrior talent-trees are all neat, the best thing about Dragon Age is that you can take whatever you feel like and still be badass, just different kinds of them.

I heard that story he is probably a Rogue, but Bioware specced him as a warrior...

I'm also planning on making a similar dual wielding warrior. Would dual striking plus haste from Wynne be effective, or should I just use momentum? I've heard that haste and momemtum don't work together.

How much should I be putting into Willpower and Constitution?

dw warrior generally rely on passives to do dmg, momentum, berserking, blood frenzy, bloodthirst(self damaging).

for the rest u just need enough to ditch 1 whirlwind 1 duelweapon sweep when there are tons of mob gathered around u, so with items around 250 stamina will be enough. stamina regen is how ever necessary to keep up the momentum going. constitution is not that necessary, im running triple melee on nightmare atm lvl 20 i have about 50 str, 36 dex, 25 will, 20 con.

So should aim to put anything in Will or Con?

Also once I hit 36 Dex, do I put all in strength, or do I keep on with Dex too?

After you hit 36 Dex, pour everything else into Str.  I didn't put anything in Will or Con, just used Alistair to keep the bulk of aggro off him and Wynne on healing.  I came out with 72 Str and 40 Dex.

Cut down every big bad pretty quick-style.
