I love Pokemon and Mass Effect, and I've noticed some suspicious similarities between the two. First off, there is your allies. Recruiting them and ranking them up. Just like pokemon, you rank them up for the big final battle. Next, there is the Codex. Sounds a lot like Pokedex, right? It's basically the same thing. Traveling around the galaxy or the Kanto region, Pokemon and Mass Effect are too similar.

I thought whenever Shepard threw out pokeballs and yelled "I CHOOSE YOU TALI" it was kinda weird.....

Yes, they are so similar! Nintendo should sue Bioware for such shameless display of plagiarism! How dare they!

Don't forget Super Robot Wars: Original Generation. A race of aliens that give advanced technology to inferior races so they can develop along the path they want and evolve into living weapons, just like the Balmarians.

seriously though, the creators of Mass Effect were the generation that grew up with the best pokemon games out there. At the time, those were the best games money could buy. There is no way that this is all coincidence.
Also, I never said they copied anybody but pokemon because frankly, they didn't.

The protagonist is more of a Collector than a human. Goes from place to place and harvests different species and then stores them in a box for all eternity. Oh, not to mention the best way to capture these things is when they're paralyzed, asleep or frozen.

The Collectors were actually Pokemon trainers!

I read the title, I should've known better and yet here I am reading this thread and actually posting a response. Did anyone ever notice humans constantly do stupid and irrational things?

Ok, this is just reaching if you think Mass Effect has anything to do with Pokemon... I could say it gets inspiration from Romeo and Juliet too, cause you are able to have romance in the story.

Even if it did, it would have as much to do with Pokemon as Pokemon has to do with Pink Floyd.

I find this picture hilariously true, because I quit playing Pokemon before I got to high school, and started again earlier this year and I'm in my second year of college lol.
