Even if it did, it would have as much to do with Pokemon as Pokemon has to do with Pink Floyd.

What? You don't remember Darkside of the Lunatone, We Don't Need No Evolution, and Learning HM02?

Honestly Pokemon is one of the better RPGs out there. There is nothing wrong with taking inspiration from them. While what they do isn't original, they do it well. Still as amusing as this thread is, it is a bit of a stretch even for a joke.

Jack is essentially Mewtwo. Think about it!
Hell the Teltin Facility is essentially the Cinnabar Island Lab & the Illusive Man is Giovanni

Watch, Mass Effect 3 is going to have 1 on 1 multiplayer in which you and the team you command battles your friend and his team.

Even if it did, it would have as much to do with Pokemon as Pokemon has to do with Pink Floyd.

It's the inevitable truth, both games have the same feel. Exploring and getting data on things, doing jobs for people, pokedex/codex, a rival and a main boss. The ending of Mass Effect 2 makes the squad fully utilize their powers, such as biotics, technichians, stealth, etc. Well, the very end of Pokemon when your playing the Elite Four, you have to force your pokemon to surf, break bricks, fly, and so on.
Both games are customizable. In Pokemon you have your pokemon, you choose their abilities, in Mass Effect you choose what powers your squad uses/ how they use them. Both games you give your player a name and it's gender.

/facepalm If you're going to say that Mass Effect 'stole' from Pokemon, name also the few thousand other games who've got a similar kind of system.... about the majority of RPGs and such. *Facepalms again* Wait, you can also say then that Pokemon stole from earlier games. Yay!

Edit: just read the remainder of your posts... you're badly informed or making things up - either way, this thread deserves a lockdown... it's got that much misconception and non-argued accusations, that's just amazing.

*Facepalm* First off, calm down, I wan't being serious to the point that they literally stole from the Pokemon series, I was just pointing out that they're two strikingly similar games.
Relax.

Collector used husk. Go husk!
Husk used punch, colonist fainted. Husk grew to level 16.
Husk is evolving... Husk evolved into Scion.

...[hours later]...

Collector used Scion. Go Scion!
Scion used annoying biotic blast on Commander Shepard. Commander Shepard fainted.
Scion grew to level 30.
Scion is evolving... Scion evolved into Praetorian.

they're striking similar as in that they both happen to be RPG's then yes but one involves evolving monsters and collecting them and own involves character progression then they are very dissimilar.
Not to mention ones a frickin third person shooter lol

Yup, Mass Effect stole also from Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, etc.

Big deal

This.

Ever heard the expression 'there is nothing new under the sun'? Mass Effect is one of the best examples of how to blend all the things already envisioned.

Hmm the reapers must be legendary pokemon. I now know how me3 will end. By you visiting a pokemon event and obtaining a special item, which allows you to verse the lead reaper and final capture it with your master ball
