 Well, i've been trying to kill the High Dragon at the top mountain in the quest of the Urn. Is it possible to go back later in the game to kill it? Also, if it is, is it only possible to a certain point (like, after a certain quest you no longer can go back and kill it)?

You can definitely go back anytime after the quest is done, as long as you have Kolgrim's Horn to summon her. Save inventory space for all the fat lootz. There is a side passage in the Temple that is a shortcut in and out of the mountaintop area. I believe that only opens up after you reach the Ashes.

Try to have this done anytime before the Landsmeet.

If you have a durable tank+good healer, you could do this fight as early as around lv 10. My group is usually around lv 15 when I slay this beast.

With any dragon fight, try to have several means of stunning the dragon to free characters from being grabbed, having a mage with force field helps if the tank is in trouble, and ranged attacks are a good way to combat the dragon's sweep attacks.

Make sure that you have Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor, that will give you 70% fire resistance, a lot of Greater Warmth Balm, and some anti-fire items. You don't have to use tanker, the ranged attacker is your best bet in dragon fight. Try to use as much as you can the cold attack and cold damage to the dragon. Entropy spells are good, too, the dragon is still vulnerable to Entropy spell. Good luck

Yes you can. In fact, it is advisable to do so if you did the Urn of Sacred Ashes as the first of the major quest lines. I personally tend to do the Urn of Sacred Ashes second to last, before Orzammar.

I rarely if ever take on the High Dragon before I've leveled up quite a bit more. I don't think you have to do it before the landsmeet, but I think you might forget at that point. Things start to get moving fast right about then.

I mentioned before the Landsmeet as a margin of error, since the o.p. doesn't seem to have been this far yet, and soon afterwards, the game enters that "point of no return".

Just make sure that you don't visit Redcliffe after the Landsmeet until you are ready to conclude the game. I don't want to spoil too much more.
