I attempt to fix my blood dragon armour, following some links out of a sticky thread here that took me to what I see now to be and old outdated version of the DAZIP file.
Before I realized it was out of date I used the DAUpdated to install the out of date link (TAKE NOTE: the sticky here for the DAZIP files is old and out of date when it comes to the files its linked to).
So I have version 1.1 sitting in my authorized DLC section of my install, and a 1.0 version trying to download, and its failing to download. How do i clear this out of the download queue, there does not seem to be a simple way to cancel this.,
Blood Dragon armour ... how do I fix my own screwup?

Hmmm... been a while since I had to deal with that one... I think if you close the game, move the manifest.xml file out of the My Documents > Bioware > Dragon Age > Settings folder, and restart the game, it should clear up. Save a copy of manifest.xml in case I am wrong....
Could you post the thread that has the improper link? Is it from the Dragon Age Wiki or someplace else?

You will find it in the stickified thread labed Redeemed DLC Unofficial Troubleshooting and FAQ (PC Only). It's about 2/3 of the way down under 4.0 listed as the Blood Dragon Armor (not the female fix but the one above it)
Moving manifest.xml out of the directory did the trick, thanks!
