I think "azure" stands for vagina rather than ass, so your signature is kinda pervy.

It's just what I saw afterwards that made me become annoyed with VS... not to mention the "YOU BETREAYD ME SHEPARD!" in ME2, along with Tali being the most ANNOYING *damsel-in-distress* who has a girly crush on Shepard. BioWare really buggered her up big time making her this "oooh my knight in shining armour" obsessive, over-'cute' bumbling rambling 'Liara ME1 v2.0' who was stumbling over her words when it came to romance. Suddenly Garrus became this weird-awkward romance option for all the fangirls who cried when he wasn't an option in ME1 and Tali had been transmorphed into this stupid, moronic "I'm very smart but DERP at the same time".
Excuse me, I'm just rashly paraphrasing a lot of my words into sentence that people most likely do not agree with. Garrus should have retained that 'swagger' and funny charm but in ME2 it was just painful to see him behave so... strangely. Liara became a cold hearted madwoma- asari and VS was just... lol.
So yeah, the sudden and strange change to Tali and Garrus makes them slightly hated and possibly very hated by SOME people.
I don't hate Jacob. There's a difference between hate and disliking someone for being a useless moron in terms of.. just existing.
However he does redeem himself in my eyes with his hil-arious dialogue. Look at thiiiiis...
Phew. Glad I got that out of my system. And also her fans. They drove me insane. Still do.

Your kidding right? I'd be castrated for saying anything against the Holy Tali and Invincible Garrus! Glad to see the Age of Reason has arrived in the forums. *Stifles laughter and replaces with clearing of throat* well let's say my prejudices came from back in the old ME forums. Oh those were the times.

It's okay to dislike the character, but calling her "emo" and killing her just 'cause she is a bit rude is mean.
It's horrible to disrespect another person's suffering; specially when it's something as serious as Jack's situation.

Pretty much this.
People are free to have favorites and the like. Difference of opinion and constructive criticism are fine, but it's been irrating seeing how many people go out of their way just to annoy certain characters' fanbases.

no ones mentioned hating Wrex. you know why? because you can't hate Wrex. because Wrex is awesome. every other character was mentioned with a negative towards them.

I hated Wrex when he pulled a gun on me in ME1. I chose the option to beat him toa pulp and shotgun him in the face. but when i saw how much of a douche in Brother was in ME1 I chose Wrex and his awesome "Shepard! my friend!" dialogue.
You killed Wrex? Monster!
(ironic Ash is your prof pic)
haha yes it is. but I didn't take to kindly to him turning on me so *BAM* but yeah Wreav is a complete douche. Wrex is awesome as clan leader.[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/cool.png[/smilie]
Gah post didn't work.
Here's what I said:
I completely understood Wrex's reaction. For a Krogan, he was very restrained, actually. I also understood Ash's reaction if you fail to talk Wrex down, and am confused as to why she gets so much hate about it.

Wrex looked like he was about to back down.
So for first timers, Ashley coming out of no where and filling him full of lead is...frustrating.

If you fail at Charm/Intimidate AND didn't help him recover his family armor, what right do you have to complain when you can't talk him down and he has to be put down?

I'd just like to go out of topic for a bit and not adhere to the why X is hated because I think it's the Talifans, Garrusmancers and VS nutheads that annoyed me beyond reason. Kaiden was interesting due to his experimental L2 implants, Ashley was just a space nahtzee (yes I used that word *heavy voice* Oh NOOOOO) and I had no problem with Tali and Liara nor any other character. It's just..

Garrus? What's wrong with Garrus? : ) The guy gained some swagger and then some in ME2... I don't remember him saying anything amusing in ME1, in fact he was a little too serious.

Hmmm. Tell that to the many many MANY people Jack has killed since she escaped Pragia and before she was sprung from Purgatory by Shepard. I kinda don't feel sorry for Jack, and while I actually like Jack just fine, I can see why people might take issue with some of the things she says.
It's also kind of hard to characterize an attitude toward a fictional character as "mean" to begin with. If people don't like a character, they have the right to make sure their impact is limited to ME2 so they don't have to see them again in ME3.

I agree. Ashley was looking out for Shepard's best interest, and here was a freakin' KROGAN pointing a shotgun at Shepard. Ashley didn't have the luxury of knowing that if the player chose the red or the blue dialog option, then Wrex would be a loyal teammate again. This is another example of subjective and metagame thinking being applied to a character's internal thought process. Sure, if Ashley was reading the ME1 script, she would know that Wrex could be talked down. But she's not a actress playing a role, she's a person on Virmire whose commanding officer is being threatened by an alien who is known to be ruthless and potentially dangerously unstable. Ashley-the-person had every reason to behave the way she did. And I believe that there is even a dialogue option when Shepard speaks with Ashley before speaking with Wrex for Shepard to tell Ashley to 'be ready' when Shepard talks to Wrex. So it's not like in every scenario Ashley is being a hotheaded murderer who just kills alien allies willy-nilly.

I didn't say she is innocent, but you can dislike her without dissing her past.
Besides, if Cerberus hadn't kidnapped her as a baby and tortured, abused and experimented on her, maybe she wouldn't have turned all crazy and killed all those people you mentioned.
She was innocent when Cerberus did what they did to her, so it's alright to feel sorry for her about these things. If you must hate and judge her, do so towards what she did after she escaped from Pragia.
And I have no problem with killing characters. What bothers me is when people try to sound righteous about it.
If you don't want the character in your game, that's fine. Just don't go creepy fanboy mode and write an essay explaining your reasoning for doing so, because that doesn't even make sense.

I try not to be an ass about it, but I think all of us have our least favourite characters.
Mine is likely Miranda. I simply don't appreciate her attitude; she has so much invested in being cold, distant, and perfect that at times she comes across more as a parody of 'the secret agent woman' than an actual character. On a more personal level, my FemShep just plain doesn't like her because she is usually the one to suggest slightly more renegade courses of action, or ones my Shepard simply doesn't want to consider, like lollygagging around for a few more missions after the crew's been taken... as well as the whole being from Cerberus bit, which I suspect will become a plot point in ME3.
Anyway, like I said, I try not to be an ass about it. Miranda may not get the most flattering portrayals in my fanfics but since this is a thread wherein drinking the haterade is encouraged, I figured I might as well deposit my two cents.

Do people diss her past? I honestly haven't really been aware of much anti-Jack stuff. I approach Jack differently with each character, and treat Jack according to what that character's viewpoint is. Devon Shepard, my Boy Scout Vanguard, thinks Jack is dangerously unstable, but can't resist the urge to try and rehabilitate her, so he carefully sidesteps all her F-bombs and tries to be a mentor toward her. Ethan Shepard, my mostly-Renegade Ladies' Man, is totally turned on by hot chicks with tattoos, so Jack was naturally his LI. He told Miranda to eff off. Ashley Shepard, my psychotic Renegade Soldier, thinks Jack is too much like she is, so she made sure to send her to do a job she wasn't qualified for. Oddly, the only two teammates standing at the end of the Suicide Mission for Ashley Shepard were Kasumi and Morinth, the thief and the serial killer. My other Shepards, Simone, Leah, and Martín, didn't really have a strong opinion toward Jack one way or the other.
