Isnt assail with besiege worth it by the way?

Theoretically, arc increase is great for S&S. Practically, with the kind of damage I do with this build and x3 elemental force from Assail, I'm going to knock enemies back all the time, which is very bad for my main damage-dealer, Assault.

The Arishok thing. Fighting Arishok's cohorts is not challenging solo. Fighting Arishok just takes a lot of time, so I think I'm going to record phase 1 (minions) solo, then add Varric and Merrill for DISORIENT and Hex of Torment, to bring Arishok down quickly in phase 2. Honestly, I don't like the idea, but recording a repetitive 6-7 minutes long video of dueling him after everyone else is down is much worse. Most people don't play solo anyway, so at least it's somehow representative of the kind of damage you can dish out under those circumstances.

I was gonna say, denied dual while soloing would be insane to pull off.

It's not hard, but once you get to Arishok, the pace really slows down. You don't have a burst damage capability of a rogue, after all.

One suggestion IN1, kindly place all your videos into the OP, will be much easier for me to cross reference, instead of searching around this thread. Cheers.

I'll move them into OP once I get Arishok recorded and Act II paragraph written.

Here you go. I don't think I'm going to record the duel after all the minions are dealt with. It's either solo, but long and boring, or short and exciting, but not exactly solo :)

No, it's deceptive. The bastard begins to chug potions and I don't have Bravery at this stage, which was huge with a number of minions he has.

I have finally recorded a video where I've managed to kill Arishok in less than three minutes with this setup. The only change to my skill tree was upgrading Pommel Strike instead of getting that oddball Massacre passive. It requires a little bit of luck (Saarebas must shield a 30-40% hp Arishok before he uses a healing potion), but really not too much. As long as you can chain stun/interrupt him (Pommel Strike > Shield Bash > Assault > Combustion Grenade), it can be done consistently.

Something is wrong with YouTube today, so I'll upload it later.

Which fights should I record fot Act III? I'm thinking of High Dragon (not sure), Templar Hall, Beacon & Gifre, Hybris, possibly Last Straw Docks encounter. I won't do Orsino and Meredith: it's very long and time-consuming.

I just wanted to say the buff stacking is ridiculous XD
While for warrior i dont have stamina for it (Got other things to keep up and 25 stamina is not fun) but for rogues - varric and sebastian its just lol. All the investment in archery only goes there for CCC archers lance. WIth specialist speed+precision+ power is = 25% speed 25% critical 40-50% attack , with low dex built to benefit from attack it gives sick damage.

There are no challanging fights in Act 3 if you would ask me. Dragon without fire resistance maybe

Ive been trying out this build and some fights are just pure lol. big issue atm for me is assassins, as my burst seems to be somewhat lacking still, and when im running around in robes they can get me REAL low. and im getting knocked back a bit to much, but i got all the str i can spare. So ye not sure how to combat that issue at this time

Well, corners and walls work wonders vs assassins/rage demons. They are basically helpless against a properly positioned warrior.

At lower levels, my greatest concern with 2H setup (Anderfel) was archers. With S&S... well, S&S has no particular weaknesses. Just remember how fragile you are, and don't get over-confident (sometimes a bit hard with this build, I know).

Getting better at this. Have noticed that once you hit a enemy that doesnt have one of the 2(or 3 if you use fire) elemental weaknesses the damage drops to average at best... I have all the suggested gear, but hitting on guys in spirit set who have normal resist against it, will only die fast if i cleave and am at low health and hit them with assault

Am i just missing something crucial or is this "normal" ?

Ugh just now fought the bone pit dragon and boy was that painfull :/ in robes he kinda bites you to death in 2 seconds and your "burst" simply isnt there. You can avoid most of the damage but if he does his stun pull eat your face combo it gets annoying.. It did die eventually but i rather fight quanari or skeletons :P

You don't have to do every fight wearing robes...if you have the warrior dlc, the armor has no stat restrictions, use that for fights where elemental advantage is not available, since you have no cold dealing weapons fighting that dragon in robes would be painful, either respec to something more durable or wear the dlc armor.

Also, you can dodge most of he melee attacks, hit once and move, he will attack at the spot you just left, let your ranged characters pling away.

Exactly. Dragon has no spirit weakness -- why fight him in +spirit gear? You have great DLC armor to carry you through these battles. Also, "damage falls to average at best" is not true. Any elemental damage still bypasses armor, and spirit also halves DR. You have forgotten what a physical weapon damage output looks like, that's all :)

Hehe i guess so. Ye i realize i dont HAVE to use spirit gear, i was just thinking the damage would be superior.

And maybe i did forget what the physical weapon damage would be like... didnt play much warrior before this yet, i do know my rogues ate pretty much everything in their way :P

Beacon and Gifre done: Phase I; Phase II.

The alternatives for Ring of No Wishes: Ferryman (which you should have for alt setups anyway) or Demon's Eye (it's cheap, ~9 g).
