Could not write license data!
Please contact Customer Support for further instructions
It happened out of the blue, don't know what I did to get this. A securom issue. It has also affected another game that I play. I googled it up and there was a fix for it, but it meant deleting everything in your user/my documents folder and although I can play again, in the other game that I play I lost all my save games. I had to do a system restore point to get everything back. Was there another way around this problem without deleting the my documents folder? I have Windows 7, 64 bit version

New install, old install? UAC enabled/disabled? Admin rights? WinXP compatability mode? Full system specs as per the "How To" thread?

Press your Windows Key + R to bring up the Run... dialog then type "%APPDATA%" and press enter. You will get up an explorer window under AppData>Roaming. Press Alt to bring up the menu bar then go into Tools -> Options, then in the View tab, select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives", then press OK. You will see the SecuROM folder. Highlight it, then delete it. Try running your game again.

thank you. I deleted the securom but no joy.
It did work the first time, them I played and finished Halo. Then ME1 would not play. Have used revo unistaller to remove ME1 and installed it again to no avail.
