I just started up a new playthrough, and after downloading the rest of the new DLC, I notice that with Miranda, for instance, she now only has the option of the new armor and Zaeed, for some reason, no longer has an alternate outfit. Why is this exactly?
New Appearance packs overriding older ones?

The alternate outfits unlock after you do the loyalty missions.
The only other way to get an alternate outfit is via the Alternate Appearance pack DLC, which includes Garrus, Thane, & Jack (AAP1) and Miranda, Tali, & Grunt (APP2).

I see, I forgot about that. I didn't notice the original ones in the download section. Must have simply missed them.
