I've got a character apperance in one savegame, that I'd like to transfer over to a completely different character/savegame.

Where would the information be stored? Is it at all possible, or is restarting my only option?

Could be possible if you transfered the value of "SAVEGAME_PLAYER_MORPH" from one savegame to the other via the toolset.

Didn't try it though, it's just my first thought on the matter :)

I tried this once and ended up with no face

No face? How does that look? :D
But nothing worth having is ever easy, is it? :(

I actually decided to try the suggestion but.. umm.. my "SAVEGAME_PLAYER_MORPH" is blank.

I know this is essentially a double-post, but since I've got a real update, I thought it warrented, wheter or not the thread have started falling, in case someone interested popped in earlier and want this info.

Despite it looking like SAVEGAME_PLAYER_MORPH was blank, it isn't. What I did was select it in the savegame which had the face I wanted, right-clicked, and "Copy".

Then I went to the savegame I wanted to change, right-clicked on SAVEGAME_PLAYER_MORPH and selected "Paste Value".

Worked like a charm. Thanks a lot for the help. When looking the savegame over, I had totally missed the entry to begin with. :)

I have a question similar to what was solved herein. I already have a save game character that I like, but I just recently downloaded some additional skin tones, and tattoo colors, and I'd like to apply them to my current character. I know from Beerfish's tutorial how to make a new character using these new graphics, but what I'd really like to do is edit my current character. To that extent, I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to export your current character's appearance to the morph tool in the toolset, or if there is any way to get the slider results so I could edit it myself.

Someone in another thread mentioned taking screenshots of all of the slider values and editing them manually, and I am not opposed to doing that, but of course since I already made the character I've no idea if I can still get those values Any help would be superb.

No, there is unfortunately no way to get character morphs out of savegames for re-editing.

You'll have to recreate your char with the toolset or the ingame CC and edit your savegame to use the new one.

The big advantage of a toolset created morph is that you can change and use it time and time again without the need to edit the savegame more than once...

Excellent, not because it's not possible, but because now that I know I can just move on with my character and not worry about it. I'd love to use some of the new skin tones, etc, but I can save it for any new characters I make. Thank you.

Oooh cool. I really wanted to start a new game with my human noble so thanks a lot for the information :)

One thing: the characters you make in the standalone character creator do have the mrh data in them. If you made that character in the standalone character creator, you can possibly get the data from there.

You could always just open the *.MOR file with the toolset, and manually change the texture values to the desired skin tone, etc. You can do this with hair and eyes as well.

Alright, I'd be willing to try and edit the .MOR file on it's own, but I could not figure out how to do so. I did check the toolset wiki (I think) and I got confused (perhaps because I don't have Excel on my computer, and so it wouldn't display the information properly). How exactly do I edit just the .MOR file instead of the savegame as a whole? Or where do I find the .MOR file within the savegame to edit?
