This month’s challenge is “A Little Love for the Little Guys.   Goodies for the small folk, from handheld pipes for halflings to widgets and gadgets for the gnomes to play with. Other suggestions: new heads, burrows, or a new (less goofy) phenotype for the gnomes. Maybe some real halfling homes for tileset designed for the rural. We could use an updated version like what L.o.W has for his seasonal forest set.

This theme was suggested by Jenna WSI.

For this challenge, the content should have something to do with halflings or gnomes.

 Rules:
- It must be fully working in game.
- Use of vanilla NWN or publicly available texture is fine, though state-of-the-art amateur's work would require 100% original work, but that's up to you.
- Teamwork is also welcome.
- Beginners most welcome, don't be afraid, just try, you'll be surprised!

All submissions must be finished, working, and emailed to me (NWNCCCMakers @ gmail.com – minus the spaces obviously) or a link provided by May 30, 2011 (which is a Monday) at 8 am. Note, this is not the last day of May! Sooner than that is perfectly fine too. ;)

*** Please do NOT post your content separately on the Vault.***

Some things you could include in the download/email that would make packaging everything up easier and faster (otherwise I’m just going to pester you with questions!):
- 2da lines needed
- Screenshot for use on the vault page (this also gives me hints on how to display the new goodie)
- Portraits (if needed, like for placeables and creatures) of your new goodie
- Any credits you would like listed
- If this is your first entry, please tell me what name you would like your work listed under and provide a link to your other NWN content if you want that displayed as well (the link bit is totally optional).

Remember, the Challenge is all about fun, sharing, creativity and surprise!

If you have concerns/questions about this month’s Challenge please post in this thread.

If you want to discuss the Monthly Custom Content Challenge idea as a whole or wish to submit ideas/themes for future monthly Challenges,  please post in its thread here.  ***When submitting a new theme, please provide a title and short summary of the theme.***

If you have a technical question about some custom content creation, please create a separate thread so that the answers can be found later by anyone, not just people interested in this Challenge. We'll try to help!

Have no fear and join the fun!

And finally, you can vote for June’s theme right here. The voting dead line is June 1, 2011 at 8 am.

*edited to add poll link in*

I think I might be able to come up with a little something for this month's challenge.:innocent:

I'm glad to see that gnomes might finally get some love. I actually just started making a module where gnomes have a bigger role, and I sure could use some non-weird male gnome heads. *hinthint*

Happy to see this theme... If anyone makes holdable pipes it would be freaking awesome.

Belive holdable pipes exist already, I'd have to dig around.. but I might be able to find something....

Pretty sure Lisa made them: http://nwvault.ign.c....Detail&id=3833

Really? I thought CEP put in all of her holdables... I'll dig through her haks too. I have some players that would go nuts for that.

Edit: Oh I think you meant music pipes.. I was referring to smoking pipes.

Caught that one, eh?  I had to throw in a short joke.  A small amount of humor makes life interesting.

Even the dumb blonde, still working on the first cup of coffee for the day, version of me was bright enough to catch that one. ;)

I'm pondering what to contribute for this month.  Is there any interest in female hairy feet to match the male hairy feet that THEFACE made long ago?

Since I already made homes for the gnomes I think I'll concentrate on something for the halflings for this challenge.

I may have left a couple other tiny tidbits in this thread already. ;)

On a content-related note...I have no idea what to contribute this month, but I'm sure something will come to mind sometime before the 30th.

Small wonder.

Yeah nothing came to mind for me either. The pipe sounds like fun. With on/off smoke emitter. Or various gadget placeables for gnomes to tinker with. Of course both of those involve 3d work so that rules me out. Hmmm. Maybe some funky looking tool icons. *shrugs*

And I'm not touching the small short comments. One groan a day is enough. ;)

*Puts Jenna in a headlock and noogies her.* So what are you making for this theme that you suggested?

I don't even have the tiniest of ideas on what I'm making for this month's challenge. ._.

I'll think of something. Eventually. Any ideas? :D

Jenna, it isn't all about 3d work. There are plenty of ways you can contribute as a builder. What do you normally make for the PW? How could that know-how be put to use for this challenge?

*laughing* Nice work Rubies! Don't forget the portrait. ;)

So no takers on the hairy female feet? Hmmm. I pondered making some new portaits but didn't fine any public domain images that demanded to be turned into portraits. Yacking with Olivier the other day we came up with the possibility of making a new voice set. This could be fun to try if there is an interest in such a thing.

How little are we talking?

I'm tempted to take this to ridiculous extremes with a mushroom forest tileset

MUSHROOM FOREST!
Yes, please.

Rubies: All I do is bemoan when haks don't work for my pw, try to fix it, build areas, and ask for scripting help when I can't make existing scripts do what I want. Really I'm useless to ya'll. :P

You could always try something new, that's the fun of it! Retexturing something that already exists, making a model (I'm more than happy to help you along the way with that bit), or even loadscreens, spells, items, icons, anything! :P
