Nice textures on the halfling house, it looked almost like nwn2 at first glance.

Nice house Zwerk, but HALFLINGS *snort* Its all about halflings isn't it. Well, I've been inspired to create something for the other little folk - GNOMES. Its a tile - I'll post a screen in the next day or so.

1/ Would love for one of you stars to make some tortured Hins and gnomes....seems all the tortured placeables are humans or elves.

2/ Another idear would be a a bola weapon which just screams Hin to me.

And I actually LOVE the Smurfs and if someone makes them I will make a kids module asap for any of your children.

Meh - I'm starting to think that my gnome house might look better with the base being stone as opposed to an overly large tree stump. I'll have to ponder this during work...

Pstemarie, I like gnomes more than halflings, too (got a charcter named Gnomina somewhere), but I had already made homes for gnomes so I chose to make halfling houses this time.
BTW gnome arms look very freakish in NWN. I would have understood huge noses or slighly bigger than normal heads as a design choice for gnome characters, but I have no idea how they came up with arms as thick as barrels.

I got a suggestion for you, Pstemarie. You could add some moss to the stump (or the rock if you change it to be a rock).
The tno01_pt_grass01 texture might work as moss for a tree stump and for rock there's a moss texture (tno01_pt_moss01). I suggested this because the stump/rock is rather big and there's a lot of the same texture which could look more natural with a few patches of moss on it - or if it is a rock maybe make a few bushes grow from some cracks.

I was more referring to the overall shape of the design in general lending itself better to rock than a stump. Besides the whole gnomes living in trees has been done to death. However, while at work I was able to come across a bunch of interesting drawings and artwork that has inspired me to move my gnome house in a completely different direction.

You should put a tree on top of that gnome hill.

This is a shot of the house ingame.

@ Fester Pot - I thought about sticking a tree up there, but since the WOK follows the contour of the hill its just as easy to use a placeable tree.

@Pstemarie: Gnome house or halfling house, in any case it looks pretty cool! :)

I like being able to use it for both. And it's not unheard of for communities of gnomes and halflings to live together, anyhow. ;)

Which tilesets do the new houses work with? As in, are they an add-on?

Mine works with the TNO tileset. I also have others in mind as well - as per FP's request, now that I've found a suitable tree to work from I'm going to do a variant where the stonework (e.g. the house) is worked in around the roots of the the tree. Simply put, its gonna look like the tree is growing out of the house.

Unfortunately, as I've not got the time to get it done before the end of the month, look for it in either Project Q or on the Vault.

Now that there's just a small amount of time left, I've finished my procrastination and have emailed in my little submission, a simple sarcophagus placeable sized for short people (gnomes and halfling).

I figure they're tired of being packed two to a (human-sized) box, so now they can be interred individually in a space that fits them better.

Really basic model, modified from a NWN2 model (which was extracted by thegeorge, I think, and included in CEP), then retextured with a rock texture from the 1.69 patch.

Here's the little chair I made. In spite of this month's topic, I'm also including a full-sized version; this way, anyone from a halfling female to a half-orc male will be able to use it. I'm still working on the matching table but should be done with it soon. :-)

*sleepy beaming smiles*  Welcome to the two "newbies" joining in the fun this month.  *Gleefully throws small bits of paper all over Draygoth28 and Pstemarie.*

Nice touch with adding the barding to the wolfies, Draygoth28.

Great looking house, Pstemarie.  The idea of building roots around another one, very cool!

@Zwerkules - Second the motion for the chair as a placeable.  Perhaps you could saw a little off the legs to make it sitable?  The lamp would be a nice placeable as well to line the "streets" of a small stuff village.

*noogies The Amethyst Dragon*  Sheesh, more short jokes.  I should have seen that coming!

As far as my content for this month, I'm going to have to do a lame punt.  Female version of TheFace's hairy hobbit feet.  His texture applied to the default Bioware female feet:
Posted Image

Icon fixes to Bioware's two belts with many pouches that can hold a wide range of gadgets and tools that gnomes so love to mess with.
Posted Image Posted Image

Summary of this month's content (updated 6-1):
Draygoth28 - Halfling Wolf Mount - files merged in - custom portrait??
Estelindis - Small furniture placeables - done
Mistress - hairy female feet and belt icons - done
Pstemarie - Gnome House Tile - done with much help from Pstemarie *whew*
Rubies - Stepladder placeable - no files
The Amethyst Dragon  - sarcophagus placeable - files merged in - something odd going on with the portait?
Zwerkules - Halfling House Tile - no files

My rl schedule is pretty tight at the start of this month, thus the Monday deadline insted of tomorrow.  If we can't get this posted to the Vault by Wednesday... mid afternoon EST, I will not be able to work on it again until the 6th or 7th.

Nice looking Celtic inlay detail, Este! Got some portrait files to go with these? *playful wink*

Thanks to some advice from Pstemarie, I'm back on track getting the demo module done. *hugs*

The texture's just standard TNO stuff. My goodness - portraits? Didn't even think of those for placeables, gah. Let me see...

*catches the portraits* Wonderful.

Well, I'm as done as I can be with the hak and demo module. There are still some files outstanding so the content won't hit the Vault until after the weekend. I'm guessing it will be the 7th before I'll have time to work on this content again. So that buys everyone a little more time should you need it. ;)
