Not sure what has happened, i equipped the DLC rogue bow and now the game seems to think i dont have Archery even though i do...anyone know what the issue is? I cant equip other bows until i fix this...i checked an earlier save before i got the bow and all is fine

see if reapplying it is repeatedly causing the bug. Strip off all unnecessary items and repeat the process, saving before you do this of course. then report the bug.

well i loaded an earlier save and re-equipped the bow and nothing happened, i just cant think what could have caused this, i used to console to remove and add the archery tree but that did nothing

Im hoping its an easy fix so i dont lose a couple hours of gameplay

If you're on PC, maybe try console command:

runscript addtalent 202000
runscript addtalent 202001

hmm, i tried 202000 but not 202001, will give that a go next.

Luckily the bow i have equipped increases with level and looks cool, but id still like to have the option of changing it

load a mod which allows hawke and his party to use every weapon they want without some restrictions

DLC rogue bow

fixed it, used the 'chargen rogue' command to reset everything...still dont know what caused though...probably did something whilst using the 'addtalent' command

Adding Varric's Marksman tree to Hawke is said to break your Archery tree, though I can't confirm that myself.

aah, i did add this to my Hawke, wanted a few more bow attacks...looks like this is the reason...i wonder if the 'Royal Archer' talents screw things up as well

Nope, they work just fine, and it really adds to the whole Archer Hawke feeling.
