Does anyone know if it will be possible to import characters that have been run through Mass Effect I/Mass Effect 2 on a PC into a PS3 when Mass Effect 3 is released?
Just got my PS3 and am wondering if there is any way I can do the imports using my PC saved games so I don't need to buy Mass Effect 1 & 2 for the PS3.

I´m going to go out on a limb and say
NO
The unreal engine has never been Xross game save compatible Even with UT3 it was only MAPs and game mods and they took a lot of Cooking in a specific application to move to PS3.
Portal 2 only gives you a free PC version and its run on Valves own engine so can link PS3 and PC players, Xbox 360 Is Excluded from link up.
The PS3 does not have 1 single game save ether, each regions BD creates a specific save game coded to the BD version, so even EU save games, don´t load on US games.
If your PC broke then the save files are no use...

Drat!
I guess I'll be getting Mass Effect 3 on PC rather than PS3. I'm too attached to my characters =)
