 Rivalry or otherwise?

I've tried to get him down all the way, but only managed to get a little less then half. Then the idiot randomly approves of me taking quests like Fool's Gold, Trying to make him give into Allure, Giving him his family bow in an attempt to bring him to the Dark Side.

But nothing. Absolutely nothing. It's almost infuriating. And from what the Wikia says he gets a measly +15 rivalry in Faith, that may or may not be counteracted by taking the quest in the first place.

Argh, poorly implimented character!

+15 accepting anders pq.
+10 for entering the fade
+15 for saying something like "Don't listen to her" to allure.
+10 For being pro-starkhaven
+10 Red option on bow, perhaps 15.

I think I'm right on most, good luck.

Oh and the free +5 for saying you're useless to Elthina, this could be repeated before the patch - not possible no though :/

I got +20 rivalry for having him with me at the beginning of Night Terrors. He really REALLY freaks out about going into the fade. I suspect he needed to be wearing his brown underpants under his shiny shiny armour for that one.

You also gain +10 rivalry from him for killing Bartrand during Varric's Act 2 quest.

...Anything after Act 2 besides Faith? Cause I'm practically finished with it.

Help anders in the chantry! That is obvious :D
Help merrill with the mirror, he dislikes killing dalish.
Give Castillon the slaver documents.
Hand Fenris over to Denarius.
Let Varric keep the idol piece.

I'm not sure about them all, but Sebastian pretty much has a say-so in all other companions quests as far as i am aware.

About 50 Rivalry; 40 minus giving Fenris to Danarius?

Meh. Better then nothing.

This is what I've got, but it's not really in order:

Repentance: When speaking to Allure, choosing "Don't listen to her” gives +15.

Repentance: When speaking to Flora in the aftermath of this quest, choosing "Don't try to wiggle out of this” gives +5.

Repentance: During final conversation back in the Chantry, choosing aggressive responses gives +10.

Starkhaven Longbow: Using the aggressive response to tell him to use the bow to avenge his family gives +10.

Questioning Beliefs: Encouraging him to take back Starkhaven gives +15.

All That Remains: After sparing Gascard during 'Prime Suspect', having him perform the ritual in Darktown gives +5.

A Bitter Pill: Offering to deal with the slavers when first attacked gives +10.

Blackpowder Courtesy: Killing Javaris gives +15.

Dissent: Agreeing to help Anders using the witty choice gives +5. Agreeing to help Anders using the aggressive choice gives +15.

Dissent: If Ella dies there's an automatic +10.

Family Matters: Killing Bartrand without him being healed by Anders gives +10.

Family Matters: Killing Bartrand after he's healed gives +15.

Mirror Image: Letting Merrill have the arulin'holm gives +5.

Night Terrors: Refusing to entertain killing Feynriel in 'Night Terrors' nets a whopping +20. (At least in my game? I have heard varying reports about this one.)

Prime Suspect: Accepting the quest using aggressive dialogue choices gives +5.

Offered and Lost: Telling Ser Varnell to kill the Qunari gives +5

Offered and Lost: Telling the Viscount a mother was involved , and then to burn the bodies gives +10.

To Catch A Thief: Telling Isabela you will give her the Qunari relic gives +5.

Faith: There is a large Friendship boost just for taking this quest. Choosing 'You must be safe' and then 'Fine, but don't think you're my top priority' at the end mitigates this somewhat.

Faith: Telling Sister Nightingale “It’s time for Holy War” gives +15.

Alone: Allowing Danarius to take Fenris gives +10.

No Rest for the Wicked: Letting Isabela give Castillon the documents gives +5.

On the Loose: When speaking to Meredith for the first time, choosing “I am no ally of yours” gives +5

On the Loose: Letting Emile de Launcet go gives +5.

On the Loose: Tell Walter and Cricket that you won’t help Evelina gives +5

On the Loose: Choosing the humorous response when talking to Walter and Cricket after killing Evelina and then not giving them money gives +5.

Never did manage to max out his rivalry the first time I tried. He kept giving Friendship points for rescuing kittens and such. Hence this list, so the next time I do it I have a better chance.
