My game seems to be running fine except for the gamma issue, and I am using catalyst 10.10. Should install the latest drivers? Will they boost the performance etc or should I just leave well enough alone?

I have no idea if they will boost your performance but the shouldn't downgrade anything. You could just save the installation files for 10.1, install the latest and if you aren't happy with them install 10.1 again. You might need to use a driver cleaner program for removing the old drivers.

If you want upper right screen corner mouse lag then use a catalyst driver release after 10.11. If not then a release before 10.11, but then you could be faced with crashes in DA2.

The latest drivers 11.4 fix a lot of issues with DA2 even since the 11.4 preview driver it's got better. DA2 has finally stopped stuttering for me and gave a nice little performance boost in Shogun Total War 2 and a few other games. It's certainly worth getting.
