I'm glad this thread isn't full of "PUT HIS HEAD ON A PIKE INFRONT OF THE WHITE HOUSE" and "I want to spit on his corpse!" posts. Some people are getting a little carried away with this.

Nothing wrong with that. I'd put the remains of his shattered corpse in a cage on the White House lawn.

Actually, the worst punishment would be to throw his body in with pigs., and stick a piece of bacon in his mouth.

haha, that reminds me of what oen of my friends said a couple weeks ago.

"Pigs are like sharks. Once they smell blood, they attack."

So it wasn't a airstrike then....they had his location for a week and Obama finally gave the Navy SEALS the go-ahead to assault the compound where Osama was chilling. Apparently, he died with a shot to the head.

one of my relatives was in the strikeforce that took him down. Headshot honcho!

Just saw your pic on tv man!

Actually, he needs to get a respectable burial ( hate to say it ). Anything to minimize the inevitable retaliation.

Supposedly (according to FOX and CNN) he was killed in a firefight, probably cowering in a corner before somebody emptied a magazine into him.

I want a national holiday today.

Scary thing is there are many more individuals who are willing to commit acts of terror in the name of allah. Anyhow I hope Obama doesn't get reelected, I disagree with his policies and the directions he is taking the country.

Also let us not forget the servicemen who gave their lives tracking down that monster.

It's fascinating to see the amount of information that's been spouted as 100% true...

I believe it's only been said that it was a JSOC operation, not just Navy Seals. I bet Seals were involved, though.

This guy being hunted by the West has been a fact of my life for nearly half of my existence, and I still think the reaction to this -- the celebrating in the streets -- is creepy and barbaric. Avenging is great, but I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call this justice.

Thread will probably be locked down eventually.

Easy, video the remains of another burnt corpse being buried at sea. Toss the real remains in a pig pen.

Hmm...I don't remember at this moment, but what does it say anywhere in the forum rules about this sort of matter? Or would it fall under the political discussion, which, as we know, is not allowed?

It's not allowed. I won't be surprised if this ends up locked.

Honestly, i think a ton of it is just relief. It's like a ghost that has finally vanished. Well, i hope a lot of it is just being happy that the ellusive monkey on our back is now gone.

They'll probably close one of the threads and let the other one live for awhile.  Sometimes it's easy to contain things that way.  Otherwise new threads will just keep popping up.

As for Bin-Laden I have to say I'm happy he's dead but I'm not going to rejoice or celebrate.  But I'm not going to look down on those who do either.

Hopefully this thread stays open since it's a special occasion. We'll behave ourselves moderators, pinky promise!

And yes, it is the same day that Hitler was announced dead.

Personally, the best thing to do with his body is to give it proper burial, cuts off any possible and it was Navy Seals who did the deed. Go Navy! Non sibi sed patriae! May the members of that unit gain the highest recognition the United States Navy can give them even if it never can be made public.

Part I'm happiest about is that we got him without any casulties of our own.
