I was trying to modify damage type of the Widow rifle to give it some badass knockback.
Really, when you shoot someone with an anti-tank rifle, they HAVE to get knocked back.
I found this property in the coalesced.ini:

[SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXDamageType_MassCannon]
.
It lists reactions to hits by the rifle.
I was trying to add there records from [SFXGame.SFXDamageType_Explosion] where they specify knockbacks and completely replace records from Widow by those from Explosion, but it never changes at all.

Has anyone tried tweaking like this and, if yes, how did you do it?
