Hey, I'm not sure if this is the right forum section but I have a problem iimporting my saves into ME2. I have a total of 8 completed games in ME1. But when I try and transport them into ME2 it says there is "no character data found". I'm not new to ME2 (i've beeaten it 4 times). but I have only been able to import 1 character since the game reelase and now even that import option is gone. It sucks that I have so many save files in ME1 and I cant even transfer 1 over to ME2. The ME series are my favourite games of all time and I really want to be able to transfer a 'full' story into ME3.

So you're saying that there are no characters on the import screen despite having completed ME eight times, right?
First question I would have is whether you completed the game with the same Gamertag. If you didn't then that would hinder the ability to import across Gamertags. That is just a possibility.
If the answer to the above is 'yes' then I think the only recourse is to replay the ending of ME (lower the difficulty to make it quicker if need be) so that your 360 has the hidden save file which is required for import.
Oddly, if you don't have the hidden save file it suggests that you changed hardware at some point between the two games. I 'say' this because we as users cannot delete the hidden save file. For example I have deleted all my old careers but I can still import those characters into ME2.
Maybe someone else will have other suggestions.

Ya I've changed my gamertag and upgraded to a 360 slim last summer so i guess both of those things would screw up my ability to import saves. I'm currently re-downloading the 2 dlc packs so i can access my saves so i can then redo the ending and see if it appears in ME2. Hopefully it works but its a long process and as fun as the ending is, playing is again and again with un-skipable cut scenes can get tiresome. Thanks though.

Perhaps I should also ask whether you still use your old Gamertag: the one you used to complete ME with. It is possible that saves are associated with Gamertags; and if this is true then you might not be able to import those characters across to your current Gamertag.
If my memory serves right, I played ME offline and never went onto XBox Live until after getting DA:O until last year (for the dlc). I also had an old Gamertag which I used complete ME with, but I had to abandon it as the name I used was already taken on Live. I had to end up creating a new Gamertag which no-one else used, and deleted my old Gamertag.
Now...the 'funny' thing is, some of the achievements got unlocked for various games without having to actually get the achievements. That is to say, I got most of my previous achievements just for finishing the games I had (again).
My characters from that old Gamertag imports to ME2. I am just speculating, but perhaps because the old Gamertag is no longer there it allowed me to import.
