So here's the deal: Ashley displays an unsettlingly adamant convinction that my Shepard is in a romance with her.
Either this is a bug, or I accidentally selected a romance line in past conversations.

Now I can't talk to her about letting Kaidan die on Virmire, because when I click on her I get the dialogue about grandpa Williams, complete with "so, are you still interested in me?" line that lacks an option to tell her that I was never interested in her to begin with.

I need to know if there is a way to toggle off the romance, be it through the dev console or editing the game files or whatnot.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

You can tell her no during the locker scene.

Make sure you tell her at the lockers to get lost, because if you do it going to Ilos then you are still in a romance in ME2, you just "waited until the mission was over" instead of ending it.
