I finished the game as a Dwarven noble female who had a relationship with Alistair, made him solo king, and then stayed on as his mistress and chancellor.  Two wierd things happened.  One, in a conversation with Alistair you have the ability to ask how Anora would feel.  My personal belief is that she'd feel pretty crappy being locked in a tower and not knowing if Alistair will decide to execute her or not since the blight is over.   However, I think the last thing on her mind would be the state of the relationship between Alistair and my character.  The second weird thing that happened was in the epilogue it states Alistair is solo king but then later says something to the effect that Anora is uncomfortable with the Warden and Alistair's relationship.  Again, I'd think she'd be very uncomfortable in the tower and really would not care one bit about the relationship between Alistair and the Warden.

I assume all the flags are set right because the epilogue does eariler make it look like Alistair is a solo king.  It seems like if the Warden stays on as mistress they only have one set of dialog which assumes Alistair rules with Anora.  A way to explain this away is that Alistiar decides after the blight is over if he's staying in a relationship with the Warden to go ahead and marry Anora.  A problem with this is Anora not wanting to marry the murderer of her father which in my game Alistair dueled Loghain and killed him.  Though maybe after being locked up in the tower and having an avenue to be set free, she'd agree to such a marriage.  Of course it just being a bug or plot inconsistancy is probably the best explanation.

Those are bugs. End game is wonky, to say the least. Anora-Alistair marriage is one of the wonkier things.

Hey, the end-game results get very wonky pertaining to Alistair's kingship. I haven't played the game that way, so I don't know any specifics. I -think- that the IRS-Alistair mod rectifies some of these inconsistencies. http://social.biowar...m/project/2573/

Ah, I have a slightly unrelated Alistair/Anora question I've been meaning to ask but no point in making another thread for it, right?

Let's say Alistair is unhardened by the time the female noble Warden he's in love with speaks to Anora. Let's say this Warden arranges for Anora and Alistair to marry. Can the Warden then call the whole thing off after killing Loghain and proclaim that she will rule by Alistair's side instead?

Yes, as HNF you can pull a fast one on Anora at the LM and marry Alistair even if you arranged the marriage with Alistair ahead of time, as long as you pass the Persuade check where you say you'll rule beside him.

Hahaha. Yeah, I plan to have all ranks of Coercion by that time, let alone that my character's primary stat is cunning.

There are few things more awesome than pulling a fast one on Anora at the Landsmeet. Telling her Loghain will pay and then getting all the votes is great, because she backstabs you but immediately loses because all the nobles still vote for you because you did the quests. (Well, you might not get every vote without her support, but if you do all the quests you should have enough to let her backstab you and still win.)

Oh god yes, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that is awesome.

Wait, that's possible? During my first full play-through, the Landsmeet was divided 50/50 and everyone broke out fighting until the Chantry Revered Mother called out for everyone to stop. Then again, however, my character did kill the Arl of Denerim's son before he left his cell. >.> Maybe had she let him leave to vote for her, my Warden would have won the Landsmeet. I was so digsusted with the Arl of Denerim's son after having played the City Elf starting storyline that I enjoyed killing him on another character. Besides, Soris explains what happened anyway.

Maybe my Warden this time will arrange for the marriage to happen AND mention that Loghain should pay. O.o

Getting all the votes and then choosing to get the brawl is just awesome since all the nobles decide to own the guards.
