I think we'll get a MMO in the end.

Hopefully it'll take minimum 5 years to make.

I don't really want an MMO. A CRPG w/ Multiplayer mode is ok (just not for Mass Effect trilogy). I'm still holding out for a STG Sentinel.

I thought for sure that this would be a troll thread by the title alone. Something along the lines of--

Anyway, guess I'm too cynical. Back on topic:

I'm not so certain about the MMO (i understand why people would want it, but they're just not for me), however, I could see myself getting into placing as another species in a ME spinoff.

It would be awesome if ME3 had a multiplayer where you have multiple characters and species to play as and each have some special attacks (Krogan Rush for example)... a little bit like in AC: brotherhood where you can give your character some special attacks.
Sadly it will never happen in ME3

But to the original topic. I would not mind a ME related game where we can play as other races.

Not really. As a fan, I have input in what bioware put in their games as I pay for them. The consesus I see on the forums is a mass effect: origins type game>Mass effect MMO. The idea is also shared on other sites.

Also, MMO's suck. Bioware is about the single player experience and the story, and MMO'S detract from that. PLus they have outdated graphics compared to the current mass effect games.

I think Mass Effect would make a good MMO... one or two MMO generations from now. (EverQuest has evolved into: World of Warcraft! World of Warcraft has evolved into: ???)

First, we need to see what SW:tOR does. Not just how it does in the marketplace, but what it does right when addressing the issue of narrative storytelling in an MMO universe, and where we can go from there. The Mass Effect MMO would have to build on and advance from the SW:tOR architecture, otherwise there'd be little reason for players of SW:tOR to play Mass Effect too.

So I'd say Mass Effect could make a good MMO 3-6 years after SW:tOR's launch. I wouldn't want to see it before then, too much direct competition with their own property.

Even when given the option I always play humans in RPGs. But a more free form RPG, hopefully a bit open world or something would be awesome.
