Because both races seem to share quite few features. That is another reason why female Turians are expected to have diffrent look from male (except for the head). And I support that expectations.

Come on, let's face it. The whole Asari race was made so it looks atractive to guys, basicaly they are all hot chicks with blue skin, Quarians are made to look atractive to latex fetishists, they have boobs and dem hips. Let's stop pretending that females in this game were made to make sense from the lore point of view, they were made to look atractive, ugly females is not what I expect from Turians. I do expect Salarian females to be something like a broodmother... or Alien Queen (and by Alien I mean Xenomorph)... but Turians being bald dudes? Nope.

Actually Quarians being attractive was an accident. If I remember correctly, devs didn't make Tali a love interest in ME because they didn't think anyone would date a girl with "chicken feet."

Attractive? We have no idea what quarians look like under those suits. 

I was talking about how people like Quarians. People, animals, things, people are attracted to all sorts of things despite the face, or lack therof. Quarians have dem hips, dat voice, and various other things people find attractive.
